Has anyone experienced this?

by JillyHemp316, Nov 05, 2009 09:36PM
This may be TMI but has anyone else experienced itching, like inside? Not all the way up but just around the inside edge? It feeks kind of like really bad itching from dry skin. Sort of. I'm a very clean person, so I can't imagine its something foreign. I haven't changed soaps recently, or anything like that. I'm really kind of confused and a little worried. Any ideas ladies??

Do you shave the area? Have you had more than one sexual partner? It could be an STD, something irritating it, if you're having pain urinating it could be a UTI. I had itching when I had a UTI....maybe a yeast infection? Not sure...you could try using something like a yeast infection cream, and if it doesn't go away in a few days I'd give your doctor a call...he/she may be able to prescribe/recommend something to help.

I would say if you are pregnant then it could be an infection. When your pregnant you get infections a lot easier than usual. You actually have to be careful not to wash the area too much because then it strips you of your natural balance. I suggest seeing your doctor :)

I haven't shaved that area in awhile, (to much hassle), I haven't slept with anyone but my husband for the past three years. I know he hasn't slept with anyone else in the since we got together three years ago too. I've had UTI's before and it doesn't really hurt to pee. But I am going to see my doctor today because I am pregnant, so ill talk to him about this too, (I hate talking to male doctors about stuff like this lol) but I am going to start drinking cranberry juice too. Just in case. Its actually much better after I take a shower and like rinse the area well..who knows..ill just have to see what the doctor says.

Sounds like a yeast infection.  Pregnant woman are more likely to contract vaginal infections.  Ask your OB what he suggests you use to treat it.

I haven't found an OB yet, I need to. I just saw my regular doctor today for the doctor pregnancy test. So he referred me to a person. Only one, lol I guess all the OB/GYNs are leaving I'll because the malpractice insurance is so high. Lovely huh? And it has to be someone from IL because my insurance doesn't have maternity coverage. So I'm going to try to get on the IL state Moms and Babies program.
