Hcg levels

by VaniDavila, May 30, 2009 07:02PM
On 5/26 I had my hcg levels checked at 15dpo and my levels were at 1510. Today, 5/30 (19dpo) my levels are at 8570. Does this sound too high?  I'm just worried about something else like a molar pregnancy or something else.

Really?? Would it still be too early for an u/s? I'm only 5 weeks...

Yes, really!  Your numbers are rising appropriately ;-)

In my opinion, it would  be better to wait until you are well into your 6th week (or 7 + weeks) before you get an ultrasound.  At 5 weeks, you wont be able to see a fetal heart beat or fetal pole but if you wait a little longer you will see these on the ultrasound and both of these things will be very reassuring and worth waiting for.
