And now i take fenagrine for nausea before bed and still dont feel hungry at night like i used to. Just want to know how harmful that can be
, but taking only what you need and following doctor's orders should minimize that risk.
It's important that you work with your doctor to treat your pain; uncontrolled pain during pregnancy is usually considered riskier for the baby than small, controlled doses of pain medicine. Pain causes the body to release cortisol
(a stress hormone) into your system, which travels into the baby and restricts new cell growth.
So if your doctor thinks your pain is severe enough to need treatment during pregnancy, I would heed his advice. If you feel like you can handle the pain, tell him you don't feel like you need the pain medicine and ask if there are any alternative ways to cope with the pain while pregnant.
With ANY medicine and pregnancy, less is best...but you need to take care of YOU to take care of baby.
