How long

How long

do the hormones stay in your body after you give birth? For some reason this feels so unreal i took 2 HPT and both came with a BFP but it doesnt make sense to me....is it possible to get a false postive? Sorry for these questions just still really nervous. i'm 23 and this will be my 3rd pregnancy in the last 2 yrs....first one ended in a MC....i'm going to find out today for sure cuz i am going to take a test at the doctors. I just dont think this is the right timing, but there is no wAy i am getting rid of it :| sorry this has turned into a vent type thing. Like i said just very nervous :) Thank you for the support ladies <3

If you are referring to HCG the pregnancy hormone then it should have flushed out of your system after 6 to 8 weeks...any longer than that is unheard of (atleast by me) by 9 months post partum it should all have been long gone.  If you have had 2 BFP's then you are pregnant.  The only way at this point I see it being possible for you to be getting false positives is if you were on medication/hormones that contain HCG.  So...as unreal as it seems now...in no time it will be all too real.  Enjoy the ride, it may be bumpy at times, but it's worth it.  :)

As the other commenter said, 6-8 weeks post partum is when you will no longer have HCG in your system.
