How long after bloody show do you go into labour?

As of yesterday I am 2 cm dilated and 50% enffaced. Ive been having irregular contractions for 4-5 days. Had some of my mucous plug come out last night... and this morning had some blood when I wiped. How much more longer is this gonna take?

Most women go into labor within 24 hours of having bloody show. Others, however, can take a couple days.

This is a GREAT sign! If you notice an increase in bleeding, however, go to the hospital. There should only be blood in the discharge, not just bleeding from the vagina. I hope that makes sense.

As Joy said it really depends on your body.  With one pregnancy I got bloody show after I started having really bad contractions and early labor was in full swing... I went to the hospital that night.

With another of my pregnancy I had small amounts of bloody show for 4 days before labor actually started.  The rest of my pregnancies I had none at all.

It can take days-weeks, sometimes labour comes straight away but for others it can take ages!!...
