How long should you have brown discharge if you think you are pregnant?

I was due AF yesterday, but all i have had is a light brown discharge all last night and this morning, waiting to see if it will become redder as the day goes on.  Has anyone else experienced this and been pregnant? how long did you all have this discharge before finding out you were pregnant.  I have no cramps at all and normally by now i can't move for the pain so this is really unusual.

I had light brown discharge for about 3 days around the time I was expecting my period.  I found out I was pregnant!  The brown spotting returned about a week later and lasted 3-4 weeks!  I guess it was old blood, and nothing was wrong (I am 25 weeks now).

thanks for the comment i ususally get the discharge 3 days before af is due but i am now 1 day late and the discharge has stopped from this morning, still no cramps and an odd feeling from my abdomen area don't know how to describe it.  I really hope we have done it this time.  hope all goes well for teh rest of your pregnancy and you have a very good labour!!!!

almost the same thing with me i already had my period on the 9th and i have been having unprotected sex with my bf but now a week later im having brown discharge. and this is the 2nd day of having it ive been gettin headackes crampz backackes and very moody but i dont knoe if im pregnat or not ill just wait to see and then if keeps on go see a doctor maybe you should do the same im sure your fine

Hello and I hope all is well for you. When I became pregnant with my son the first test came out negative. I then waited another 1-2 weeks and it was positive. I believe I had a brown discharge and I did have cramping as well but every pregnancy is different. I am in the same boat now, I missed my period but I think I was ovulating later, and even so me and hubby had sex a lot to try and make sure I get pregnant, we have been trying for a couple of years now. Anyways, I know my body so well that there is more than one sign telling me AF is coming: I get cramping the day before or the day of AF, I start to get brown discharge the day of and it quickly progresses to heavy red in the same day. So what is weird, is that I just started getting some brown discharge today, no red and it is only when I wipe, this never happens without period coming. So I am going to wait another week and test again because I think I conceived later, if I am pregnant. Also this time I want to be sure because I believe I was pregnant in the beginning of the year and I missed my period for two months, went to the doctor, she did a blood test and said that my hormone levels were a little high but nothing for her to be concerned about, which I had no idea which hormones she was talking about. Anyways she told me that I had to take Provera to induce my period and I was very nervous to do this because I had a feeling that I was PG. Anyways on the seventh day of the medication I started but I got really bad pains and I had clots with my period which makes me think I had a miscarriage, so basically I want you to be careful in case you are and make sure you are positive that your not pregnant, even if you have to ask the doc for an ultrasound, make sure, cause I know I am this time.
