I was just curious if, and when in your pregnancy did you get extremly hungry?
I have been having the normalNormal saline flush servings that I ate before pregnancy, and a healthy snack in between, but this last week I feel like I can't eat enough. Last night I made spaghetti for dinner. I cook with the whole wheat noodles as they seems to be more filling and tastier. I ate dinner around 5:30 pmPremenstrual syndrome Relieving pms and around 8:30 I felt like I hadn't eaten a thing all day long. So I made my yogurt and cheerios mix, which is yummy.
Anyhow the same thing. I had a chicken breast sandwhich, and now I'm raiding the fridge. I cam back with a cup full of cheeries! Anyhow, just wondering if and when you seemed to get the 24/7 munchies.
For me it comes and goes...like today, I thought I ate well/enough but I was REALLY hungry when I got home from work close to 4 and a snack wasn't going to do it so I ate dinner BUT I know that I will be hungry before bed as well! I am 26w.
I have been crazy hungry the past few weeks. I will get up and have breakfast before work, and a snack or two, then lunch, then snacks, then dinner, then snacks, and I am still starving. It's like I'll go have a big lunch, be full, and then 20 minutes later feel like I haven't eaten! Last night I was so hungry after dinner that I had a carnation breakfast shake and bowl of cereal before bed! Then I woke up hungry!
An old wives tale says hungry tummy = boy boy boy. Typical! : )
I find out gender at the end of the month, so we'll see if that holds true!
I didn't want to eat much at all for the 1st 20 weeks. I never threw up or anything... nothing smelled nor taste good to me. I lost ten pounds in the first 20 weeks. I'm 27 weeks now an I have been wanting to eat EVERY THING in sight. lol. I went to the Dr last Friday an I still have not gained any weight. I'm almost breaking even to my start weight now. ( My before pregnancy weight.) But everything is great with my baby though. My mom lost weight with my sister an I. I guess it runs in the family lol. I crave cheddar cheese, fruit, sliced cucumbers with salad dressing, and chocolate or strawberry milk. Anita
I am hungry 24/7 and I am 10 weeks. I seem to eat a full meal and then maybe 30 minutes later will be still hungry like I didn't eat dinner. I just try to eat a lot of healthy things through out the day. I try to eat lots of fruits and veggies and drink lots of water.
I definitely notice what I am eating makes a difference too...If I eat something with some fat, protein and carbs I am much more satisfied longer. Even in non-pregnant people, this combo is known to stave off hunger. Today, my lunch did nothing for me...I had shrimp vegetable stir fry (one that I made...very healthy, just shrimp and veggies, not a fatty take out thing) 1 oz. of almonds and a little 100 calorie pack of dried fruit. I ate it at 11:45 and I was STARVING about 3! I ate breakfast and had a special k fruit bar mid morning...usually, I am not starving by 3 lol so I know it had something to do with the lunch I ate...
I am 27 1/2 weeks and can't stop eating, I am always hungry! But I'm like this most of my pregnancy and not like this at all when I'm not hungry. For me it could be because I'm usally under weight before I get pregnant and need to make up for it when I am...not sure, but I kinda get sick of eathing when I'm pregnant, just like I have come to hate the bathroom, I wish I didn't have to pee all the time!
Thanks ladies! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one!! Last night I got home and was trying to mop the floor. I let the mop drop to the floor walked over the freshly moped floor, got out the cheerios and ate 2 bowles! Less than an hour later I made dinner and ate all of plate. Good thing DH took the plate because I may have licked it clean.
It is so strange for me to be always hungry! I have been a member of weight watchers for five years and learned to curb hunger, but this is totally different! I feel like I haven't eaten in days, and my stomach is about to eat my liver!
I too didn't eat for the first 20 weeks as I was sooooo sick. I guess my body is making up for it now :s
Its an off and on thing with me, what i have learned to help me, is i eat 6 small meals a day and i drink a lot of water (ughhhh), so im constantly eating but small portions. Also, try chewing your food more slowly/eating slower, it gives the brain a lot of time to reconize what is going on then interrupts that you are full.
