I am freaking out! Could I be pregnant??????

by pinkytiniavalon, Nov 07, 2009 08:31PM
About 2-3 weeks ago my boyfriend pre-ejaculated on my fingers....
without thinking about it I went home and washed my hands, although Im not sure if the soap was evenly distributed even to underneath my finger nails,
and in about a 1-3 hours I fingered myself pretty intensely although I didntn touched my cervix obviously cause my fingers would have to be super long to do that.
Im pretty sure my hands were dry since i took the bus home and everything, so it was exposed to open air for quite some time. I even ate and did homework before I did anything. Now that I think about it, 2-3 weeks ago would have been when ovulation supposedly occurs

My period was late for 3 days, it started 4 days ago, and this time it is extremely lighter than how my period usually is. I had mild cramps the first day and it was kind of clotty. Normally I'd use up 3-4 pads a day and now I only need 1, and that's not even completely filled up. I'm on the 4th day and all I need is a panty liner now.  I took a pregnancy test the first day of this "period" and it came out negative.

I know that pregnancy is possible anytime sperm come in contact with the vagina. I also heard that when you're pregnant, your period tend to be lighter. you can even get periods when you're pregnant from decidual bleeding? But could it be from stress? since in october i had a huge paper due, my SAT test, and a few relationship problems with my boyfriend.  I was also SUPER freaking out over the possibility of getting pregnant.

Could I be pregnant? Did I test too early? What are the chances?? when should I test again? Maybe the light period is from stress? Someone with experience please help. I know my question might sound silly, but I'm 17 and I am scared out of my mind.

The life cycle of sperm is very debateable. However, most doctors will agree that sperm that is outside the body will die within a matter of minutes, ie: once it's dry...it's dead. Sperm without the aid of a laboratory or a woman's reproductive system cannot survive for long periods of time. They begin to lose their motility. Sperm can live up to 72 hours in a woman's vagina under the right conditions (such as ovulation).

If you got your period and you took a pregnancy test and it was negative, I think it's fair to say that you are not pregnant. However, if you are still worried about the possibility test again in two weeks. If you want to avoid pregnancy, practice safe sex.

To: pinkytiniavalon,
hi,  there is no way you could've gotten pregnant by fingering yourself HOURS after you got pre-ejaculation on your fingers and washing up afterwards.
Did you have sex before??? if you did, u might have some kind of infection due to pre-ejaculation or ejaculation itself...
masturbation in some cases could cause infection on women.
If it doesnt clear in a weeks time go and see a doctor.
Next time play nicely with kitty....lol
