I am still suffering

by no160, Mar 16, 2009 05:27AM
Dears,
I have contacted you previously and explained my terrible situation that I am facing, I am 3 months pregnent, have 24 hrs. nausea and vomitting to a point that I go to hospital to take IV fluids, I have back pain, and heartburn.
I can't smell anything even my husband, as people advised I did, I drank ginger and ate toast every morning but it's not working.
Many of you has told me that after 3 months the situation should be better, but everyday I am worse, please advise me of what to do.
What hurts me is that I don't enjoy being pregnent because I am sick all the time, I work, It's too difficult for me to go and work everyday, plus my body aches me and feel so tired and sleepy.Did anyone faced this situation? if yes what did you do?

yes i did. i was in and out of hospital for iv drips just like you with my first baby. I got real sick with my 2nd 3rd and 4th (current) pregnancies, except i discovered lucozade, the fizzy type, original or orange, stops me from being and feeling sick, so have managed to stay pretty well and keep myself out of hospital. if it's available where you are, give it a try. if not, try anti sickness medication from your dr. other people have been where you are, you're not alone.

It sounds like what you need is some phenergan or zofran. Great meds, and they KNOCK out the nausea. Can't say they help with heartburn.. But they should keep you out of the ER for dehydration. Talk to your doctor and ask them about those meds.
They are PERFECTLY SAFE during pregnancy.

I feel so bad for you. With my first I was so deathly sick I had to go on medical leave at work. I puked 15 to 20 times a day for 4 months solid. It sucked. After that pregnancy I thought I would never have more kids. I hated it.

This time around the ob gave me zofran and while it didn't cure all my problems, I still had nausea. I was able to eat 4 small meals a day and work part time. I'm able to enjoy pregnancy and the symptoms don't control me anymore.

Call your dr and tell them what's going on. Straight up ask for the zofran don't wait for them to suggest it. Good luck.

Thank you all, I will call my doctor and see what I can do, you know I also have low blood pressue and sometimes I can't hear what people say, because my ears would be as if they are ful of water.
