I apologize if this is off topic, concerning birth control

by hamoomoo, Jun 25, 2009 11:05AM
Well im due to start birth control pills (Loestrin 20) on the first day of my next period/bleeding. This is due in about 2 weeks or so.
However, if i have to take Plan B emergency contraceptive before this period, i know i will get a Plan B induced period/bleeding.
Do i take my birth control pills when this bleeding starts? Or do i wait even longer for my NEXT 'natural' period?

any help is muchly appreciated

Im not sure but you could call your doctors office or your pharmacy for advice on this.

Plan B has a 25% failure rate and is not a form of birth control.  Be sure to use protection before you begin the pill.  Also be aware that the pill will not be effective during the first two weeks.
