I hate cold sores!!!!

I woke up this morning with a huge flippen' cold sore on my lip. I have been putting abreva on it but its not helping. UGH! They are so disgusting and they make me feel like i am dirty or that I dont take good care of myself. The doc. told me its a form of herpes so I shouldnt touch my mouth then go to the bathroom without washing my hands because it could turn into genital herpes that way. I dont understand why I get these dang things and other people don't. I have to go to school this way and that is so embarrassing. My boyfriend said its fine but he doesn't know what it is like to have this hideous thing on your lip and its not like you can control these dang things. Sorry just venting,.
