I have a silly question about missing a tube, or having them tied..
Where do your eggs go? If they take out one of your tubes, what happens when you are supposed o ovulate from that side? Where do they go? Do they stay where they are or what? And is it the same when your tubes are tied? And does that mean you ovulate only once every two months, or does your body know and adapt to this? I know how odd this is, but I was thinking about it and had a silly daydream that when you are missing a falopian tube, the egg just goes into your tissue or your tummy or something and just drifts around in there.. Hahah, but I'm very sure that doesn't happen.
Your ovaries still ovulate, pretty much when they want, they don't alternate on each side. I only have 1 tube (my right one) and the doctor told me that your falopian tube is capable of moving and grabbing the egg if its released on the opposite side. Isn't that amazing?? Also if the tube for some reason doesn't grab it, it will disinegrate (sp?). I made sure to ask my ob/gyn because I onloy have my right tube and I was curious.
So that means u can get pregnant with one tube from either ovary? Cool bc I only have my left tube and that is great news I thought I would only be fertile like every other month.
I only have my right tube and im preg w/#2 :). I was told the same thing by my drs...that the tube you have will compensate and retrieve the egg from the tubeless side!! Def amazing!
