I need help

According to lmp, I am supposed to be a little over 8 weeks pregnant. Well, i went to the hospital on Saturday night because I had a slight pain in the left lower pelvic area.  It wasn't anything too bad, but i am paranoid.  They did a vaginal u/s and took blood and only measured around 4 weeks pregnant.  Now I have been on the pill and it obviously didn't work and I did miss a period and took 3 tests the week after I missed it and they were all negative but then I took one 2 weeks later and it showed up positive.  Anyways, they could see a gestational sac, but nothing else.  I got my blood taken 2 days later and my hcg levels doubled and I was scheduled another u/s today and measured around 5 weeks but still nothing but the sac.  So my hcg levels have doubled and my sac has obviously gotten a little bigger since Saturday night.  I know I am really early but I am still worried, and I have seen questions like this but I still had to ask myself.  I just really wanted to know since my sac has gotten bigger since Saturday and my hcg levels have doubled as well and I have had 2 pregnancies that ended in 2 healthy babies, does everyone think that this is a normal pregnancy and it is just too early or should I be worried?

It seems like it is too early to tell really. If the sac is growing and your numbers are doubling then you should wait another two weeks and have another u/s to see how the baby is progressing.

When did you first get a positive result on a HPT?  From what Im reading it would have been about 2 week ago - is that correct?  This will help answer your question a little bit better.

It was actually 2 weeks yesterday.  I know I am still early but I am just worried because others have seen a heartbeat this early or something more than just a gestational sac

If you are about 4 weeks pregnant then your HCG levels are perfect and you shouldnt see anything more than a sac (you wont see a HB until 5.5-6 weeks).

If you are 8 weeks along, then there is a problem since what was seen on the US isnt consistent with this gestational age and never are the HCG levels.

At this point its hard to know what is going on but its certainly possible you are only 4 weeks along.  This is especially true since you came off the pill 2 months ago and it may have taken  more than a month for your body to regulate itself and for you to ovulate again (and conventional pregnancy dating assumes a women conceives 2 weeks after her last period).  It is also encouraging that you only detected pregnancy 2 weeks ago which suggests you may have only conceived recently.

if they cant see a heartbeat yet u must b about 4-5 weeks.
They will be able to date you better at your nxt scan as u will be further gone.
DRs also base your pregnancy stage 2 weeks further along than your geatation age.

I had an 2 ultrasounds so far (I am 8 weeks now) and the first one all they saw was a gestational sac and I measured 4w 4d.  They waited 2 weeks for me to get my next one and by then I could see the baby and heartbeat and then the baby measured 6w 5d so just give it a little time at least another 1-2 weeks.  The sac is growing and your numbers are risings so that is a good sign.  Like the other girls said it's too early to really tell so give it a little.  Good luck and I hope everything works out ok.
