I need your help, please

Hi,
Me and my girlfriend had unprotected sex, but I did not c* inside.
Anyway, I know there is a possibility that during the process it might be that
there is a liquid which also can contain sperm.
She took the morning after pill "lernovo" like after ~26 hours (it is recommend to take it within 72 hours).
what is the actual reason of, as soon you take it, as better it is?
what are the dependencies of that?

We calculated her fertile calendar (online calculator),
looks like it was the last day of fertility when we did it,
does this facts increase the posibility of pregnancy or not?

What is a suggestion in a case like that,
do we need to visit a gynecologist as soon as possible, or to wait the mestruation,
and only then take a decision?

not to freak you out, but i took a morning after pill 13 hours after intercourse during a fertile period and it didn't work. The reason it's best to take the morning after pill as soon after sex as possible is that once implantation has occured, the pill will do NOTHING to prevent a pregnancy. The advice i was given when i took the pill was to wait until my period was 5 days late and then do a pregnancy test.This is because the pill often makes your next period 5 days early or late. The morning after pill is only 85-90% effective and withdrawal isnot an effective contraceptive. Perhaps you and your girlfriend should consider reliable methods of birth control. best of luck.

I agree with worriedbabe. Plan B is not always 100% and do look into getting better forms of contraception. Good luck

Plan B should be taken within 72h of unprotected intercourse and is about 70% effective at preventing pregnancy.  It needs to be taken within this window to prevent  fertilization and/or implantation - the latter typically occurs as early as 72h after intercourse.

The chance that your GF is pregnant is very low (less than 1%) but it is a possibility nonetheless.  She can take a test about 2 weeks after the event.

I agree with the above comments. However low, the possibility of pregnancy is there. Suggest that she take a pregnancy test if she misses her period. If it's positive, then she should schedule an appointment with her OBGYN to confirm it. Good luck!
