Identical Twins

Why is it that your body splits an egg hence being Identical twins.  Why does my body seem to continually want twins?  The first pregnancy which ended in m/c was twins but no idea if it was the same egg that split.  But this pregnancy that also ended in m/c, they could see the sacs were still partially joined in one corner hence they were identical.  Will I continue to produce these twins.  I have had a boy in between the m/c's of which the doctor asked the question if he was possibly a twin???  Guess all these questions I will never know now but he said my chances of having more twins is high being 2 out of 3 now.  Doesn't appear we can carry them though.  Just want a single live pregnancy would be nice!!!!
