yes you do. you need to wear a good breastfeeding bra at night with breastpads in it, my leaking was so bad with one of my bubs i actually had to put a nappy in the bra that worked great for me at night!
It gets easier and in time you wont leak much at all!
keep it up fantastic job your doing!! x

I would wear a tank with a built in bra shelf at night and put pads in it.  It was perfect because all I had to do at 2AM was pull it down.

Yes you do. I used to wake up drenched in milk... so gross lol. I then began wearing a nursing night-time bra with pads too. This went on until I nursed for a few months and I got into a schedule when I would nurse.

I agree yes. I didn't once and woke up with my shirt and bed soaking wet. Get a comfy bra to use. I recommend sports bras.

I wish I had such a good supply that I had leakage issues :(  I can't even produce enough to keep up with all of Lily's feedings.  Consider yourself very fortunate!

That will only last until you get into a regular BF schedule, but don't miss a feeding because you will automatically have a letdown reflex that will make you leak. In the middle of the night you are probably not BF as much and that's why you leak.  Your breasts will get used to it and not leak after a few more weeks.

This made me giggle.  What the other women have said I agree with.  This is exactly what happened to me with my first and I was wearing nursing pads and a bra and still had to change and sleep on a towel too.  Good luck!

With my termination (I found out I was preg at 22 weeks, but anorexic and seriously ill, an the baby was too ):)
Erm, I leaked and producced milk still, had to wear a braa and pads to bed as well...:( I hate wearing bras to bed! I used to wear them, but its so uncomfy!
It was like a waterfall!

I have been exclusively pumping until about 6 days ago she finally started nursing. Now I am waking up engorged and leaking through my pads.

I bought a sleep nursing bra and it's very comfortable.

they do make sleeping nursing bras and tanks like the others mentioned...and even if you weren't leaking it's a good idea because the 24/7 support will reduce strain and stress on your shoulder/neck muscles from the weight of fuller breasts. I know a friend who would leak out of the pads and had to sleep on top of a towel, so if it gets that bad you may want to consider!

oh LOL I just saw degriffdog suggested the towel too...it was the only way my friend could avoid soaking her mattress every night.

also every time you get up to pee change the pads so they don't get too full and leak out....and be VERY happy that you have such an amazing supply! :)
