. I'm on birth control and can I still get pregnant if I was on the last of my pills when I'm supposed to start my period? I did not know if I should wait till my next period comes or not. This is because I did start for this month because I had unprotected sex
I really don't think that you have anything to worry about especially if you are taking your pills like you are supposed to. Most pills use hormones to control your period and a lot of the times you don't ovulate at all when on them. If you had sex
the day that you were supposed to start your period (placebo pills) then you would have ovulated 10-12 days before and it would be impossible to get pregnant unless you ovulated super late. If you are really worried about getting pregnant make sure you use a back up method and then you will be double protected! Good luck!
I have to corret nickie on something here... It's not accurate to say that you don't ovulate on bcp "a lot of the times." The purpose of bcp is not to ovulate AT ALL, so if you're taking your pills as directed, you have a LESS than 1% chance of ovulating and getting pregnant (pretty slim). And since you are on the pill, you are not having "unprotected" sex
are much less effectives than pills. Nothing, however, is 100% effective but abstinence. I think it's extremely unlikely that you are pregnant, but if your period doesn't come, you can start testing and see for yourself. Best wishes :)
