In need of a little hope

In need of a little hope

Im a 27 year old who is very heathy and very active. We found out we were pregnnt with our first around xmas and estatic. Waited until I was 8 weeks to see the obgyn. Went in last week and the fetus measured 6w4d with no heartbeat. Went back yesterday and it measured 6w1d with a collapsed sac. Im scheduled for a d&c and heartbroke.

My question is are there any ladies that experienced similar events that went on to have successful pregnancies soon after? How soon? Ive always been an optimist and finding it hard right now as it is the hardest thing ive ever gone through. I dont wish this upon anyone.

It's scary once you lose a baby to learn just how much loss there is in pregnancy, 1 in 3 will miscarry or have a stillborn. But then go on to have perfectly healthy pregnancies with no reason for the loss. Just know you can get pregnant and that is half the battle. I lost my first 3 pregnancies, 1st at 16 weeks due to anencephaly, 2nd a missed miscarriage or blighted ovum and 3rd I miscarried naturally. I now have 3 healthy children and am expecting my 4th very soon. Try and stay positive hard I know, once you have that baby you want in your arms, things do seem to make so much more sense.

I am so sorry about your miscarriage. I lost my third pregnancy around this time last year. I have to say that it was the most emotionally painful experience I've ever had. But we tried to get pregnant soon after and I'm happy to say that I had a healthy and problem free fourth pregnancy and my daughter is now 2 months old. When I think about it, if I never would have miscarried, I wouldn't have Olivia. As painful as it was, it happened for a reason. Take care and be kind to yourself. When you finally hold your child in your arms after you've lost one, it makes it all worth it somehow.

I experienced this last year in March. Unfortunately it happens to a lot of first time pregnancies. I am also a healthy 27 year old and have no history of miscarriage in my family. It was a missed micarriage at almost 10 weeks. I had no signs or symptoms that anything had gone wrong. They said most likely it was something chromosomal or genetic that cause me to lose the pregnancy and that I should have no problem having a healthy pregnancy in the future. They were right :) I concieved 5 months later after having a D&C and am now 25 weeks along with a healthy little girl. The hardest part in the whole equation is getting pregnant and you know you can! The chances of it happening are no greater or less this next time around. I know its hard to be postive right now, but your time will come! I wish you the best of luck in your next pregnancy :)

I lost my first pregnancy when I was about 6 or 7 weeks. That was back in 09. For about a year after that I was on the pill, then we decided to try. So here I am 14 weeks pregnant with no signs of a misscarriage. Early on with this pregnancy I found out I have a rh negitive blood type and my first baby most likely was rh positive and my body faught it. I do agree everything happens for a reason. The first pregnancy I had was an accident, and my bf and I hadn't been together long enough to just enjoy each other before bringing a child into the world. Best of wishes to you ladies.

I completely understand where you are coming from. I found out Monday that my pregnancy was more than likely not viable. I have to wait until this coming Monday and Tuesday for more tests. This is my first pregnancy after years of being told I probably wouldn't. It is comforting to know that I can, at least. I just hope I can go on to have a happy baby.

With my daughter i found out at about 6 weeks that was Nov 3, I went to the dr 2 days later had an hcg count done fisrt appt. That following monday i was walking felt a big gush went to the restroom and huge clots were present, paramedics take me to the hospital where the head physician states there's no sign of a heartbeat, baby looked small, the sac was barely noticeable, and no fetal pole present, they offered to remove her but i opted to let my body do what it needed. About 3 day later i went to my ob and my hcg levels had continued to rise. They didnt find her heartbeat until week 9. She's now a healty 19 month old little girl. Best of lcuk..

I am so sorry for your loss. A miscarriage is a very hard thing to go through. I had one with my first pregnancy. My OB told me it happens a lot more than you would think in first time pregnancies. Just to give you some hope I had my miscarriage in September 2007 and now have 2 healthy boys 3 and 8 months and am due with my 3rd boy in May.
