Incision after c-section? also posted in Baby Dust

I wanted to know how many of you had issues with your incision after a c-section. My son was born by c-section because he was breech. I'm ttc and want have a vag birth this time. After my c-section it opened up several times in small spots, the drs said this was due to stitches coming out. The last time it happened was four months after his birth. How many of you have had issues and have you been able to have a vaginal birth after? I don't know if I can even attempt a vag birth because I am in S Korea with a limited number of drs available...My other dilemma...wait until I can get a dr back stateside or go ahead with ttc and take my chances on not being able to have a vaginal birth. Any opinion on any of this is GREATLY appreciated.

i had a c-section 10 weeks ago and luckily i have not had any problems so far.  i have know many women though that have had c-sections and then go vaginal after.

you need to do what you feel comortable with.  if i were in your shoes i would wait to TTC until i was in the states with a doctor who i know could do what i wanted or needed.  but if you want to try again and dont mind another c-section and think that the doctors there are able to do so then try.

I have never had a c-section before, but a friend of mine had a baby via c-section about 8 weeks ago. She asked the doctor what the chances of her having a vaginal birth after a cesarian were, and he said as long as there were no complications with the incision or c-section itself, and it was atleast 2 years from delivery to delivery, her chances were very good of having a vaginal birth. However, it deoends on the dr. Some prefer not to even give it a shot because of potential risks.

I had a c-section with my son in Nov 2004, now im 33wks pregnant and my dr didn't give me the option of going vaginal. I have a scheduled c-section for June2 and that works for me! She(my dr) did tell me in the beginning of this pregnancy that she would let me try for a vaginal delivery ONLY if I went into labor on my own. I also had problems with my incision, hopefully not this time around.

Thank you ladies for replying, I have decided to ttc, I would love to experience a vaginal birth without meds, and preferably a water birth, but I would like another baby period, no matter how it gets here it's still going to be another baby.
