Information Required

I am my husband are planning for a family. My menstruation cycle was supposed to be on 9th Dec – 2007. But it has not come till now, i.e. 21-Dec. I have undergone a pregnancy test, bit it came out to be negative. I am very much worried why my periods have still not come. Can someone tell me why is this happening?

Do you have irregular cycles or have you been under any stress lately? Both could cause you to have a later than usual period. What you might try doing is waiting another week (hard I know) and then retesting. If its still negative and you haven't gotten your period than contact your doctor and request a blood test.

Thanks for the response. My periods were not irregular. Since we are planning for a baby, 2 weeks before my due date of menstruation cycle, my husband and I had started unprotected sex. When I skipped my due date, I thought I became pregnant and went for test with a pregnancy kit. But it came negative. Hence I am worried, about what cane be the reason to it.
