My iron is always low usually around 7, 8 and yes I am sure it was a three. I sleep alot and get sick alot. They are not fast to give blood transfusions, just added iron.
Normal levels are about 12, and you should make sure during pregnancy that you go lowest 10. I had 9.2 about a month ago and was exhausted all the time... My aunt had 6 or 7 during her pregnancy due to a pre-existing anemia, and had to have a transfusion.
