, i started feeling a little discomfort on the leftside where my ovaries are located. the little discomfort lasts for a second and goes away then comes back. the next day it stopped and then continued the day after, today was when it started to feel a little more sharp but not to the point where i can't stand up. it lasts for a second then goes away then stops completely. i haven't had any signs of light bleeding or bleeding and i've taken two pregnancy tests which says negative, is it possible that i'm having an ectopic
pregnancy is a pregnancy in which the fertilized egg implants outside of the uterus usually in the fallopian tube, but also on the ovary, or the abdominal cavity. Ectopic pregnancy is a dangerous condition that must receive prompt treatment. To be on teh safe side, schedule an ultrasound when you know for sure you def. missed your period.
Ectopic pregnancy can be difficult to diagnose because symptoms often mirror those of a normal early pregnancy. These can include missed periods, breast tenderness, nausea, vomiting, or frequent urination.
Pain is usually the first red flag. You might feel pain in your pelvis, abdomen, or, in extreme cases, even your shoulder or neck (if blood from a ruptured ectopic pregnancy builds up and irritates certain nerves). Most women describe the pain as sharp and stabbing. It may concentrate on one side of the pelvis, and it may come and go or vary in intensity.
I've had my period two weeks ago. Do you think it's too early for it to be an ectopic pregnancy or a pregnancy at all? I do not have any symptoms of pregnancy and the condoms we used had spermicide in them. I'm very worried and scared. Do you think it's something else?
You're probably ovulating. Many women can feel when they ovulate and it feels just as you described. The discomfort should be gone by tomorrow, or the day after. Let us know!
I've been having this discomfort for almost a week now. It's odd because the first day that I felt it, it came and go and wasn't painful. The next day I didn't feel anything so I figured it stopped. Then it came back but for a very short time, just a couple minutes worth of little discomforts that came and went. The day after that, I felt nothing it stopped and now it came back again but this time it felt a little more sharp but not to the point where I wanted to faint or anything just i felt it and it went away then came back. The area doesnt hurt when i touch it. what can this be?
Ectopic pain won't stop or relent. It will get increasingly worse. Like I said, it could be ovulation pain, which can last a few days as the ovaries prepare to release the egg, then release the egg. Do you notice any discharge when you use the restroom? If you seen ANY vaginal discharge, then it is most likely ovulation.
You wouldn't be able to know you are pregnant for two more weeks, so a test would read negative. Also, you used protection so your chances of being pregnant are slim to none. Not impossible, but improbable.
Oh, also... try researching fibroids. I've never had them, but it could be fibroids as well. It wouldn't be endometriosis because there usually is not any pain or discomfort associated with it.
You're very helpful to me, thank you so much. I feel a bit better after reading your answers. And I don't notice any discharge when i use the restroom. everything appears normal except for the discomfort.
lol well im not trying to get pregnant. i think im just thinking things over but i was very scared when i started looking more into ectopic pregnancies. i'm still confused over what the discomfort is. today was when it started to feel a bit more painful. my friend suggested that it might be my appendix.
Every woman's cycle is different. It sounds as though you have irregular periods, so it is possible to be ovulating sooner. You don't ovulate based on your last period. What happens is that you will get your next period within 14-16 days after ovulation. That is why some women who have late periods think they're pregnant, when in fact they just ovulated later than usual.

You may have something else going on with you, which could also cause you to have irregular periods, or longer cycles as it seems.
i have something like you mentioned in the last 2 months.. the pain comes and go all day long around my right ovary and soemtimes it wakes me up at night.. and since i never had this before (before i got married), i thought it was ectopic too.. but my HPT never showed positive...so i went to the doctor and they suspect fibroids and they did the ultrasound and found everything to be normal. Now i am pregnant (4 weeks 6 days) the pain is totally gone and i think i am fine now...
go get it checked if you are not sure..better safe then sorry..!! all the best..!
It's strange because the pain seems to have moved up. Whenever I feel it, it doesn't seem to be in the same place, it seems as though it moved a little upwards.
Well I looked up "lower abdominal pain" and the results were that it could be any number of things. Including kidney stones/infection, bladder infection, intestinal infection... there's a lot more, so you really just need to see your doctor. If you're trying to become pregnant, you need to take care of what is ailing you first.
i had an ectopic rupture about 2 months ago. a pregnancy test will still be positive if it is ectopic, and you wouldn't feel pain in your tube untill the fetus was big enough to take up your tube. two weeks isn't long enough. most women don't feel it till 6-8 weeks. i would check some of the other things that have been suggested, and not worry too much about ectopic, unless you think you could be farther along. but still the pt would be positive.
yes the pain comes and go within the 2 months..the doc did not give any explanation for the pain butmentioned that everything looks normal, uterus in the rite size and ovaries looks okay. after the appointment, the pain is gone completely that leads me to think that it may be psychological or maybe for the fact that i got pregnant the following month. i dont know...
