Is it possible to experience implantation bleeding but not be pregnant? If so how? I had what i thoughtb was implantation bleeding, brown, pinkish blood only when i wiped. not even enough to fill a pantyliner or a pad, but when i took a blood test it was negative. Was this someting else that needs to be looked into?

It depends sometimes there is bleeding during ovulation which I was never aware of until I had some brown discharge midcycle for a few days (mostly only when I wiped). My hubby and I bd'ed after it ended and two weeks later got a positive hpt. So far it has happened to me just once and it was five months ago, I had some this past week but only one time and am waiting to see if maybe we got lucky this month as that last pregnancy ended in a miscarriage. Good luck to you where are you in your cycle???

How long ago was the supposed implantation bleeding?  Is it possible that you tested too early?

Are you ttc?  Was the implantation bleeding around the time of your ov and did you bd?  I'd test if you don't get your period...

That bleeding could've been a strange period, implantation bleeding, ovulation bleeding... it couldn't been many things. The only way to know is to speak with your doctor. By definition, implantation bleeding occurs when the embryo attachs and burrows into your uterine lining, therefore you would have to be pregnant.

this happened feb11 my period was due feb 10. this bleeding lasted four days, i didnt get  period at all in feb. i had a blood test done feb 29 it was negative. my period did finally come mar 3. im jus confused and wanted to know was that normal or was that my period? is it norming to experience that type of bleeding and not be pregnant? Thanks

I would say it was your period. You were only late one day and the bleeding lasted for 4 days. And you got your next period 21 days later. Implantation bleeding is typically just a little spotting for a day, maybe two. Sometimes out bodies change and hormones shift and we get strange periods. I hope this doesn't sound contradictory to what I just PMed you.

To me it seems that the March 3rd bleed was really soon for a period. How often do you have your period? Every 28 days or more or less? Have you taken a pregnancy test recently?

Sorry if I'm confusing. I'm just trying to think this out and I just type what I'm thinking. So bear with me.

Every 28 days on the dot. so if the brownish blood was my period then it was quick to get a period again but itf it wasnt then i wld say that i didnt have one in feb. i have taken another pt. it was the one that you order online that i heard was no good, it came out negative. I just took it that i wasnt pregnant and nowim trying again

Well I would consider the bleeding in Feb. to be a period just because it lasted four days. The bleeding you experienced on March 3rd sounds more like what would be considered implantation bleeding considering the time frame in which it came (a whole week early). So I would buy a better test than the Internet Cheapies (IC) like First Response (don't get the ones with a plus or minus sign because they're harder to read). Then you should take that FRER in the morning. You're already 6 days late for your next period.

First Response Early Result pregnancy test. And you're not stupid! I didn't know what it was last month.
