Is it possible to get a BFN an really be pregnant?

My period should had started on the 28th.  It has started on the 28th for the last 3 months.  So now I'm 5 days late.  I took a test on the 28th an it was negitive.  So I waited until I was 3 days late an tested again... still negitive.  Could I be pregnant?  I only have one tube due to my last pregnancy.  I don't feel any pms signs at all.  I just don't know what to think.... HELP!

A blood test done at the doctors office will determine whether you are for sure.  Sometimes urine pg tests aren't as sensitive.  It is possible that you are pg, but it is also possible that you are just late.

Yup, it sure is possible that you get a BFN before really finding out you are indeed pregnant. Even vice versa, I've had many BFP's and a late period but was NOT pregnant.  Hmmm, yes it's possible that you can be pregnant, but it could also mean alot of other things. Have you tried the doctors yet?

I havn't gone to the dr because I feel fine.  Its strange because my periods start on the 28th every month.  ( at least for the past few months)  I'm going to give it til Friday... if I don't start by then I'm going to the dr.

Its possible you ovulated later this cycle,hence why your period is late,definately test again nearer the weekend,good luck...

Yes it is possible I would call your OBGYN and get a blood test... Tonz of baby dust and keep us posted....

Well my test was Negative the day AF was due, Then it was Positive 2-3days after I missed af.

But when I got my blood test about 3 days later, it showed my levels were only 50, so they were probably about 25-30 when I tested!

it IS possible, I'd suggest you go to the doctor and get a Quantative test. that's what I got.

I took 2 accu-clear test an they both had a faint lin after about 4 min.  They were very very faint though.  I'm so confused.  I can't take off work this week to go to the dr.  I'm a nanny so I have to be there so they can go to work.  So dose the test mean I'm pregnant?  Please reply.

i'm not trying to be negative, cuz you very well could be preggers, but i think those accu- clear tests are very unreliable. i used one of those before, it was a digital though, and it said i was pregnant when i was not. check out peeonastick.com it has some great info. about all kinds of pregnancy tests. i really hope you are pregnant!! good luck!

I'd suggest another brand. I used EPT's and lots of others use FRER's (first response early response)

I didn't take a digital because personally I don't like em... but they're good if you want a DEFINITE yes or no.

i used equate(walmart) and answer, and got immediate results...after 4 minutes you saw a really faint line? weel, they say not to read after 10 minutes, so you were within the time frame....wait till friday, and test again.....at least then even if it were a faint line also, i imagine it'd be slightly more apparent...

I agree with the other post take a digital test.simply says yes or no,if its faint it could still mean you havent enough hormones showing yet,but they say a line is a line,wait few days try again..

I tested today an it was still negative. My period still hasn't started though, sigh... I should had started on the 28th an today is the 3rd.  I just don't know what to think now.............

I would call your doctor and get a blood test.... If your peroid dosnt start in a few days then you could test agian.... Best of Luck and keep us posted.

I agree, Call your doctor and get a blood test, but again, get a Quantative test, NOT a Qualative test.. the first kind tests exactly how much HCG is in your blood.

Hello everyone,

Am hoping someone can give me some advice. I have been on Birth Control for 10 years, in March I decided to change pills, I was told by my doctor to start my new birth control pill the first day that I get my period. My last menstrual cycle was April 25, and since then nothing yet. For couple of days I been shaky (I do not know why), nauseated (part of the day) and now I have mild cramps, I have never been pregnant before, so I do not know what I am suppose to feel. I did a pregnancy test two weeks ago and it came back negative. Should I do another one, or go to the doctor?

I was 3 weeks late and took a test and it was negative. Went to the doctor 2 weeks later and got a BFP! I was then 5 weeks prego! :)

Anything is possible!
