Hmm I have never heard that...but people may say it because you have certain pressure points that shouldnt be touched while pregnant...the majority on your feet, ankles and calfs.  But I would probably think many pregnant women have walked on the beach and had nothing happen....Oh I just thought of this, I did it when I was about 6 months pregnant.
If your are worried, just wear your flip flops.

I grew up on the beach and I've seen many women walk barefoot on the beach, swim in the water etc.  I think that's just some unfounded fear mongering.  You'll be fine, but try to stay in the shade, not too much sun, at least 20 at  a time.

no you can't i walked on the beach plenty of times when i was pregnant barefoot, and i never had a problem. i wouldn't be concerned. if this was true then all women who live near the beach woul dmove from the beach while pregnant

I have to ask.. who the heck told you that? lol, it's kind of nuts.. like someone saying chlorinated (pool) water will cause a m/c...

Your perfectly safe, just be sure to not get any foot massages.. it can cause preterm labor.

Miscarriages happen for different reasons, usually biological reasons (like a chromosomal or uterine problem), but walking on sand is not one of them. It's okay to go to the beach! Stay hydrated and in the shade.

I live in Florida and spend almost every weekend on the beach with my family and did through all of my pregnancy.  So I would have to say no.  It is a myth that came from somewhere.  if you do go to the beach, make sure you stay cool as possible and drink plenty of water to keep hydrated.
