Is my fiance actually the father of this baby? Please Help!!
If a portuguese father with almost black hair and dark brown eyes, with tanned ish skin, while the mother is naturally light brown dark blonde hair with light blue eyes, which traits the little baby would take? The baby was born with real fair
skin and dark eyes.... The hair looked dark at birth but now has lightened to blonde. I always figured if there was black hair and dark brown eyes, the baby would take that before the llight brown and blue eyes? I would just like an opinion. I also heard that most babies eyes are pretty dark at birth then lighten to a different color
My daughter was born with dark blue eyes and DARK tan skin (She was so dark everyone thought she was jaundiced but she wasn't) but both DH and I are very fair
...my daughter's skin has lightened up and her hair went from BLACK to light brown, and now her eyes are light green at 14 months...she looked so different from either of us that it freaked me out at first, but now she's an exact copy of both of us. It's impossible to tell with newborns
, so you'll just have to wait and see....but a DNA blood test is your only way to tell for sure. The only case that I've known where it was OBVIOUS was my friend (red hair, fair
skin) was possibly the father along with a man from Iraq (very dark skin, very dark hair) and the mother was a tan brunette.....it was obvious who the father was when the baby was born with bright red hair and blue eyes, but usually it's not that easy to tell. DNA test if you're really concerned, but otherwise wait and see what happens as the child passes out of newborn stage, the toddler stage is more obvious usually.
My husband and I both have brown hair and brown eyes. Only one child out of three was born with brown hair and eyes. The other two had blond hair that turned to light brown and blue eyes that turned to hazel, a kind of gray/green now. Go figure! I don't know how that worked out but both of my sons have the lighter hair and hazel eyes. I was always told dark dominates too but it didn't with 2 out of 3 of my children!
My boys were both born with light colored eyes and still light......Also my sister has dark hair and eyes, her boyfriend also has dark hair and eyes, we are italian/german and he is mex, black and puerto rican..There daughter came out with dark eyes and hair intill she was a few months old, now she has blue eyes and light colored hair! and she is also light colored skin.....So the color of your baby eyes or hair can not tell you if he is or isnt the father...
My fiance is Puerto Rican with dark hair and dark eyes, I am half caucasian and half Puerto Rican with light brown hair, close to blond, and blue eyes. Our son came out with dark blond hair and brown eyes. My mother is white with light brown hair and green eyes, my father is Puerto Rican with dark hair and dark eyes. Look how I turned out. You can't judge on what you and the father look like because there are so many generations in there than can come out. You never know what you're going to get.
my dad had dark hair, dark eyes, and olive complexion, similar to what you describe. My mom is very similar to how you describe yourself. They had 4 kids- 2 dark hair dark eyes, 2 lighter hair and blue eyes. Also, what the others said about features changing is true. My hair was auburn when born, light blond by 3 or 4, and a darker blond by puberty.
Anything is possible, because so much is hiding in your genes. Your best bet is a paternity test.
Eye, hair, and skin color canNOT tell you who the father is. The fact is, my son has my blonde hair and blue eyes while my husband has dark hair and dark eyes, though he has my husband's nose and and chin, LOL Only a DNA test can give you a definitive answer.
I know for a fact that recessive traits play a part in genetics...It doesn't mean that if the parents has dark hair brown eyes that their offspings will also look the same. A lot of people now a days are mixed, you or the father could be mixed with something and it remained dormant for generations and it only surfaced as a dominat trait. Sometimes it can skip generations too, like for example the baby looks like it's granparents. But yeah, babies do change as they grow older. Just wait and see. Goodluck!
ummm, my hubby has brown hair, i have like black hair, he has hazel eyes, i have dark brown eyes, my daughter has blonde hair blue eyes......... she got that from my grandparents........... get a dna test to be sure.if you know u cheated i mean......
Thanks everyone for your advice! He didn't cheat on me, Its a complicated situation that happened while we weren't together, then ended up dating and him finding out she was pregnant. I'm just trying to figure out, what to do next. They are not on speaking terms, he cannot even stand her. But thanks again!
My husband is Portuguese with dark (pretty much black) hair and deep brown eyes. His skin is olive in tone. I have brown hair, originally had brown eyes (now one's greenish while the other one's blue - weird, I know) and fair, fair skin. Our son has brown hair (more like mine) and dark brown eyes like my DH. His skin is fair....but he tans like DH, while I burn.
I think the only way you can know for sure is to get a paternity test.
Yes... I wasn't with him at the time. They were dating, Broke up.. Me and him got together.. During that time a few weeks later she wouldnt leave him alone and told him that she was pregnant.. So were trying to figure it out.. He doesn't see the baby because of problems they have together, but that wasn't his choice. We can't get a DNA test because of there situation.. So I was just wondering if there was a way to tell.. but thanks everyone!
You don't have to get involved....if you go to court or contact a lawyer they can arrange the DNA test and your fiance and his ex don't have to see each other at all; the legal system takes care of all the details. I would recommend this as it's the only way you'll ever know for sure. But be forewarned if he does turn out to be the father he may well be pressed for child support :(
