I had some vegetable sushi today (no raw meat!), and some of it contained smoked salmon. I thought smoked was ok, but now someone told me that smoked fish is a big no-no during pregnancy. I'm freaking out, but I've already eaten it! :( I'm 9 weeks pregnant - is it dangerous for my baby?
during your pregnancy! I was reading an article in American Baby that actually said if you have like 6 oz of seafood a week (cooked of course) that it is actually extrememly good for both you and baby!
process does to the meat that it can be dangerous. It doesn't sound like you ate enough of it to do harm but for future reference eat smoke fish is small portions just to be on the safe
though as the risk is minimal many countries advise against due to a small chance of listeria. Making a regular practic of it might not br wise though eating seafood is good for babies. :)
