Is there really a difference?

DH and I are TTC, we recently experienced a m/c. We would love to get pregnant soon and am wondering if there is a real difference between the ovulation test and fertility monitor. I know that the fertility monitor is way more expensive but is it really worth it? I'd appreciate any input. Thanks,

I got pregnant exactally 3 months after my m/c in 2003. The first time my dh and I had sex. I used the first response ovulation test. and they worked great! I used them again with this baby and I am now 5 weeks along..... I would use the ovulation test. Thanks so much I was thinking of just using the ovulation test rather than the expensive fertility monitor.  I usually can tell when I am ovulation but I don't know when I am fertile so hopefully this will help me. Wish us luck.. Good luck with the pregnancy. How long did you use them the 2nd time around?

Hi i use the monitor and ovulation  tests.they say with the monitor it gives you extra fertile days,wheres the ovulation sticks,give you a positive then you o within 36 hours after a positive.with the ov sticks though if you test wrong time of day you can miss your surge,with the monitor you can go wrong,i think its great.it is expensive but once you bought the monitor you just buy sticks each month,well worth it..

The second time around I used them for only 1 week. The site I gave you helped me to figure out my best days to use the test. So I didnt have to buy several packs.   Thank you I get my first dr. appt. / u/s on Feb 7 I am very excited just to see the heart beat! Good Luck!!!
