Hey Hope somebody can help me I just come back from the doctor. and I was told that I haven't dilate yet but if nothing have happen before my next appointment he is going to induce me. I'm so scared? That is not the way I imagened labour. can somebody please help me to induce on a natural way?
at all. It was a piece of cake. They started me on a pit drip and 8 hours later my lil girl was born. It wasn't scarey or anything. If doc wants to induce there has to bge a reason and you should do it. I develped a fever
Well I just come back from the doc. he told me that everything is ok. but my lil girl is lying on my bones thats way i've got this bad pains and is so uncomfortable but that he won't let me go over my due date. But my dream is to have a natural labour and not been helped on by induction.
. They did exactly what 110279hld said. They put me on a drip and I gave birth 9 hours later. Try not to be scared. Being induced is almost better because your doctor will be the one there and you know what to expect and when. I've had the same doctor since I was 15. He has delivered all 5 of my kids. For me that is important. I'd hate for someone that I don't even know to deliver one of my babies.
and 50% effaced for about 3 weeks and nothing just ALOT of cramps...the fact my pressure was going up was a sign that it was time to get the baby out.. i was told to be there 8am..they didnt do anything until 12..it was so busythey broke my water at 12.. nothing happened...they didnt even give me the cervical gel or the pill( which they could do for you to start things off and your body might do the rest from then on...) anywho, nothing happened so onto the pitocin drip around 4 and i was in hard labour by about 445-5...coming every 20 seconds lasting about a minute each but yet it wasnt good enough so they kept upping me and upping me etc etc.. SO at 830 i finally got the epidural.. i was 3cm 75% effaced.. horrible I know.. 9pm epidural was full functional.. i slept for a bit...then the pressure was horrible i told the nurse she never did anything until 11pm to empty my bladder.. well i was fully dilated...by the time they did their thing.. 1120 i started small pushes to crown him and 1140 delivery room and 1146 had him.. it was quick...turns out DS had the cord around his neck.. hence why he wasnt coming because he should have been here earlier because all the signs were there...but the cord was holding him back...trust in your dr.. its not very pleasant to be induced BUT it's not pleasant to be in labour and thats what happens when you have a baby so.. either way its whats best for you and the baby
If you truly want to wait and have your baby the natural way, then the only thing really i can suggest is to just deal with the pain.. I know it sound's horrible but...... I was induced with my 2nd and 3rd, and the only thing that I hate about it is that you don't have time to prepare your body or build up to the contractions.. They're just right there hard, fast , and strong... With natural labor, you can build up to it...... If you truly want to go into labor, try a lot of walking, and a lot of sex!!! But, your lil' one may not be ready....... How many week's are you now ?
Why are you scared hon ? Is this your first ? There is nothing to be scared of....... But like I said, if you have a very low tolerence for pain.. Inducing would not be for you.. Your 38 weeks, your almost there... Maybe you will go on your own... Don't let your Dr. push you into induction..........
I have had two inductions and plan to have this one induced ("IF" she doesn't come on her own) I'm already dialated 2cm. at 36w3d.
My labors went very quick. In at 7am and delivered by 1pm with both kids. They say the contractions are more intense when induced, but I didn't notice a difference. My first was 16 hr natural birth. He was the hardest.
You'll be fine sweets! I actually liked know when I was having my kids. Easier to plan things. Especially if you have a busy schedule and Kids. Plus I live 1hr 15 min from the hospital...
yes this is my first time. And i've got a back problem. and i ;m scared that my back won't be able to handle the pressure. But i don't dilate and i've got these very bad pains and nothing helps
I was induced. I was at 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced for a good 3 weeks. I was a week overdue so they induced me. I went in to the hospital at 10 pm and was given a pill that is inserted in the cervix to soften it. I was about 2.5 cm dilated at that point. I was supposed to get 1 pill at 1 am then another a few hours later and then start pitocin in the morning. Well all it took was 1 pill. I felt a pop and then the contractions kicked in immediately after that. I was given the first pill at 1:30 am and felt that first set of contractions at 2:30 am, they checked me and I was at 4 cm at around 5 something in the morning. I lasted for a while but then asked for the epidural, once they got it in right, my water broke immediately. Then an hour later I was already at 9 cm, unfortunately my epi only worked on one side of my body. Really didn't do much for me. I started pushing a little after that and had my son at 9:20 am. I was in labor for 7 hours. To be honest it was painful but nothing I couldn't handle. Looking back I really didn't need that epi.
you still have time...between now and your due date you could easily go into labor on your own. Even if you do end up being induced it's far better than the alternative of going over due and having a large baby, especially with your back problems. unfortunatley somtiems our dreams of how it should be and the way it NEEDS to be don't coincide...just remember...it's whats best for you and and for baby.
i was induced and it was so easy, went in they gave me the iv, i had an epidural with mine too, and my labor lasted 6 hours.. :) dont be scared to get induced, it doesnt hurt or anything, just think of it as getting some extra help getting started
i was induced with my second child because she was over due. and like you, i didnt want to be. but it didnt hurt anymore than natural labor did, if thats what your worried about. in the meantime, there are things you can do to maybe help labor to start on its own. they dont nessassarily work but its worth a shot. sex sent me into labor twice. and ive been told alot of walking might help. but the body does what it wants and when its ready, it will happen.
I wanted to go into natural labor as well but at 38 weeks my water ended up breaking and I had to be induced (since they try to deliver the baby with in 18 hours when water breaks). I was sad because that wasn't what I wanted. But now when I look back it really didn't matter as long as I was safe and my baby was safe that is what matters the most. Also it was a piece of cake.... I honestly was SO scared of the pain but when it came to push it actually felt nice. Its like when you are pushing you can't feel contractions.
last night i had these very bad cramps again. so we went to the hospital for the second time just to be told that it was a fals alarm. but i had contractions. 1 in an half an hours time thy were very strong. but now i'm still waiting. do you think they are the begining of something.
Sorry, our time is so diffrent because it looks like you replied last night
