Ok so I have a weird question that I'm sure some of you won't really know the answer to...last night I woke up with like a really weird chest pain. Not all over but like when I turned over or tried to move the middle of my chest (between the breast) would hurt sooo bad like I had a really sore muscle or something. I've had this before and I would just move into a different postion and it would go away and I would be fine in the morning. Well this morning I had that again but when I woke up and started moving around to start my day the weird pain stayed. It only hurts when I move my shoulders
or anything like that. I feel fine just this stupid painbetween my breasts like I pulled or slept on my chest wall wrong. Ahhh it's driving me nuts.
My husband is a massage therapist and said he thinks I have a muscle in there that is tight and I need to strech it out which I have been doing. I have noticed that at work when I'm sitting I tend to sit with my choulders slouched and I also sleep with my shoulders
You probably pulled a muscle or one of these tissues that connects to the bone or something like that.
Just try to do some stretches like you are doing maybe use a heating pad. That happened to me when my bbs started getting bigger, I'd get weird muscle pains around my breasts. I think it happens when you sleep in one position for too long and your bbs are sore.
...check out the mayo clinic website to learn more. I was diagnosed with it while in college and it seemed to be brought on/aggravated by doing chest fly movements at the gym. There is no treatment other than NSAIDS which you can't take during pregnancy...check it out, see if it sounds like what you have...and rest.
Thanks girls. I think that's what it is too. I took a warm shower and after I got out I felt a lot better. It went away. I fell asleep on the couch and when I woke up boy was I sore again. Ugh! I guess I will have to try and deal with it.thank you though for the great info.
I agree with sweetangel, it sounds like costochondritis - - chest wall pain. I had this a few years ago. I was so sore I couldn't reach to adjust the radio or air conditioning in my car. My Dr prescribed strong NSAID's and they worked great, but obviously those are out during pregnancy. BTW if you want to have it checked out, call into your dr's office complaining of 'chest pain' - - they will see you asap.. :-)
one more thing, at the time I experienced this I was taking scuba diving lessons = swimming for a few hours a couple times a week - - my Dr said this would only aggravate the costochondritis, so stretching may not help you pain. But it's nice to have a massage therapist at home to offer advice!
