It's a BOY! Update on Kelcie

Kelcie my best friend, that is her username but isn't on her a ton.  She had her little boy this morning at 8:50.  He is 7.1 pounds and 20 inches long!  She started having contractions early in the day and went into L&D around 6pm and they sent her home because her contractions weren't strong enough yet they were still 5 minutes apart.  So we walked for 2 and a half hours after that and she had some caster oil and then her contractions started really strong aat 12am and then went into labor and delivery around 1am.  She was 4cm and then about 2 hours later she was 5 then 6cm and at about 7am they started pitocin and by 8:15am the doctor came in to just check her before she left (going out of town today...not anymore) and his head was right there and she pushed for 20 minutes and he was out!  It was so great!  If all labors are like that it would be no problem.  So from the time she was admited at 1am to 8:50... only about 9 hours.

I wish my labor was like that! Mine was 36 hours and I had Pitocim the whole time! ouch! congratz on the baby boy and let her know we are thinking about her

God, that must be nice. I was on pitocen and my labor lasted 51 hours. My new doctor assured me that this baby will come much quicker!
