Just took a test!

Hi Im new to this forum and i have a question. i had two m/c last year and i think i might be pg. i ovulated the 17 -27 by the mmc calculation. i had intercourse on the 22nd. two days ago i wook up with a lot on cm. and i have been tired a lot and urinating often. my period is 40 day cycle and im supposed to start april 3 or 4th. i just got a clear blue easy test and it was negative. is it too early to test? and what does dpo mean is that the 17 the day i started ovulation or is that the day of intercourse . what day am i on? i think its 14dpo but i m not sure. or is it 9 dpo. Please any advice i want to know soon  so i can be seen by a dr. i am so scared of having another m/c. i am 29 years old. thanks in advance

you could have takin the test to early, id wait till after your af is due, dpo means days past ovulation,

The date of ovulation is different every month, usually. That is a wide span to determine which day was ovulation day! Because sperm can live up to 5 days in the vagina, it'll just be a guess. But you should count the latest date of possible ovulation as your date of ovulation so that you don't test too early.

So go by the 22nd. That would make you 9dpo. Most women get a positive test when pregnant around 12-16 dpo.

Oh and another way to determine when you ovulated is to subtract 14 days from your next period. So if your period is due on April 4th and you count back 14 days, you roughly get March 21-22. Yay! So yes, you are most likely 9 dpo!

The reason I did this little calculation is because you don't ovulate based on your last period... your next period is determined by when you ovulate (usually 12-16 days after ovulation your period starts).

I hope that makes sense. If not, please tell me and I'll try to explain better!

THANKS SO MUCH..I guess i tested too early i just want to know why im urinating so much this is usually one of the first symptoms i have when im pg. the last pg i took one 2 days before my period and got a positive result. so i will wait a few days and retest.. thanks again i have been searching the net all day trying to figure out what my numbers where..thanks again
