Labour and bloody show

Generally how long after a bloody show did u go into labour??

It's different for everyone, but with my first, I had a bloody show at 36weeks and went into labor at exactly 38 weeks. With my second, I had spotting at 27w, 32w and then again 36w3d and then gave birth. Some women go sooner when it happens, and others it takes longer. Are you having contractions?

I had a bloody show just over a week ago and I spotted every now and then over the week, I keep on getting braxton hicks that come and go, but they go for a day then come back again. I was just wondering generally how long it was for other mums, I'm only 33 weeks so it's on my mind constantly xx

Has your doc checked your cervix to see if you are dilating? Usually when there is spotting or bloody show, it's a good indication that your cervix is changing. But since you are only 33 weeks, it's still too early and you may need to go on bedrest if your cervix is changing or you are getting too many contractions. I had some spotting at 24w in this pregnancy and then again at 27w. I've been on bedrest since 24 1/2 weeks. I'm almost 30w now and 1 1/2cm with a very soft cervix.

I had my bloody show and then went into labor within 18 hours.

They checked me when I had the show and it was closed but because the show was quite bad they gave me steriod shots just in case I went into labour

For me it was weeks before delivery. Also I heard you can lose the mucus plug and then if you don't go into labor it can build itself back up again. If you had it then something was going on with your cervix, but it doesn't always mean labor will happen shortly.

I know this is kind of personal, but, did you have sex right before it happened? Because sometimes irritation of the cervix can cause bleeding and spotting mixed with discharge. I had my bloody show with my DS and was in labor within 24 hours...but with my DD I lost my mucous plug, and it regenerated..So, just keep that in mind, if you are not bleeding or spotting any longer, then it can regenerate, which is a good thing since you are only 33 weeks....

No no sex before!! Thats the last thing on my mind lol!! Yea they said the plug can regenerate but it is more Likly with a bloody show that you will go into labour within 2 weeks. Thank u so much for all your messages xxx
