I been trying for 3 months now and nothing..Maybe my day will come. I just have a question if my period starts today do i still ovulate for this month??Even if i was like 2 weeks late??Do i still ovulate this month as long as i get my period??I really wana know so i can keep trying..Also can you ladies help me with adivce the fastest way to get pregos..Any tricks?Advice?? Thank You ladies!
I'm sorry you did not get pregnant this month. I definitely know how disappointing it is, we have been trying almost 2 years now. I didn't get pregnant until trying for 14 months, and then only on Clomid, and then to miscarry at 9 wks. It is a tough job getting pregnant! But yes, you could still ovulate even if your last period was late. From what I understand, it has nothing to do with the following month's ovulation. The period is the end of one cycle...you ovulate 14 days before your next period. So, if you know your cycle length, it's a little easier to figure. Have you tried charting your temperature? It's supposed to go up for a few days and one of those days that it is up is the day you ovulate.
My doctor also told me to check my cervical mucus. It was really disgusting, but when you're desperate you'll try anything. When you are ovulating your discharge should look and feel like egg whites. If you're like me and don't have much discharge, you have to actually "go in" and find it. :) Like I said, I thought it was a pretty gross idea, but it will tell you when you're ovulating.
Like Tiffany said, your period is the "end" of your cycle, but also cycle day "1", however, you don't always ovulate on day 14. That's the average time to ovulate if your cycle is 28 days. Mine is 28 days, but I ovulate on day 21. It can get very tricky---the easy part is checking your CM. It will look like egg whites and can stretch like that too. it's very noticeable for me when I go to the bathroom it tends to "fall and stretch out" in the toilet. (sorry for all the INFO) get an opk. They work like a charm!
How do you try what? The temperature thing or the mucus thing? I've never tried the ovulex, I've never even heard of it, so I can't help you there. I would try the ovulation predictor kits, but I don't know how reliable those are either, since I've never used them. For the past year or so, my doctor has had me getting follicle scans at the middle of my cycle to tell me when I am ovulating, so I got to quit guessing a while ago. My cycles were around 28 or 29 days, and I almost always ovulated around days 12 or 13. How long are your cycles?
i ovulate 12-13 days before my period. it ranges for everyone, but most women are between 10 and 14 days before day one of period (which as tiffany said is day one of your next cycle). check out ovulex.com. i've been taking it for just over 2 weeks. i've heard many great success stories. however, i've also heard some not so great things about the company that provides it. it claims to regulate your period, balance your hormones, decreases pms symptoms, and prepares your body to conceive. a lot of the success stories are ladies that claim to have been trying for ever and have been pg in 1-4 months! i have definitely noticed a difference in 16 days. i'm remaining hopeful. you take it along with prenatal vitamins. it's a little pricey. i got 3 bottles for $127. they say that it's money back guarantee so i figure i have nothing to lose. to me it's a small price if it actually helps! please thoroughly research it. it's all natural. i just ovulated. i should know in a couple of weeks if it worked this cycle!
