Late period , Possibly Pregnant

My period was due on August 15th , My birthday actually . Today is the 20th & no sign of my period yet . I'm waiting until about the 24th or 25th to test , because it may be possible that my cycle follows my friends . I took a test on the 16th , but turned out to be negative , if i AM pregnant , it could have been too early to tell . Anybody ever have this happen to them ?

Yep. I took one the day my period was suppost to come because I was eating everything in my office and my boss told me I needed to take a test, took one... Negative. 4-5 days later I took another and it was positive. I guess my hcg levels were just to low before. But your 5 days past so I'm sure the hpt will be accurate if you take it now

I'm pretty sure I can test now for an accurate result , but i feel as though i shouldn't jinx the idea , So i'm going to wait it out for awhile . I've read that it is possible to not reach a high enough Hcg level . So as the weeks go by , one after another with no period , i'll keep testing then go to my doctor .

I took a pregnancy test 10dpo so 6 days before my period, i got 4 positives, tested again on the 12dpo and got 2 negatives so from this i presumed i had a chemical pregnancy. I was due Saturday 14th, i am now 6 days late. I tested Monday 16th got my positive, and i got my pregnancy confirmed yesterday by the GP And i am now 5 weeks. So yes it i possible to get false negative's, All the best wishes. x

Today i took another pregnancy test , one of the clearblue ones that show a negative or positive marks . The test once again , Said negative , but still no sign of my period after a week . Should i keep testing ? I'm very confused with my body .

Also , i don't know any factors that might delay my period , because i'm not stressed or any sort of thing like that .

So I am kind of in the same position as you. I was due for my period on Aug11 or the 12th so I am probably 11 or 12 days late. I have been cramping and having lower back pains on and off for the last week and I have taken test but they have all been negative. I saw my doctor on Friday and she is running test on my hormones and a blood pregnancy test which I should be getting the results for either tomorrow or Tuesday. She said she has had people test negative for weeks and ended up being pregnant so it is possible until yo have a period. Let me know how things go for you!

So I got the results and the blood test was negative so no BFP for me but I am really hoping you have your BFP! Keep me updated!

I'm sorry to hear about your results , but there have been cases where you may still be pregnant after a negative blood test . I've read a few stories online , along w. a few actual people i know that have experienced this . If your period still doesn't come along , i suggest you test again . Especially if you're convinced you may still be pregnant .

I'm still waiting for my period , to see if it's coming around or not .

I wish but I also don't think I am pregnant. When I got pregnant with my son the hpt came out positive right away plus I started having morning sickness at around 6 weeks and my boobs got huge quick. Other then a missed period (which still hasn't showed) I have no other symptoms. The constant on and off cramping has stopped too, so I don't know. I have an appointment next week with my OB/GYN so I'll see what she says. (The doctor I saw before was the family doctor. I really hope you get your BFP! Will this be your first baby?
