Lots of BFP's, then a faint one???

So I've taken way too many tests over the last week - all BFP's, some lighter, some darker, then I left it alone for a few days. I took one this morning (I was hoping to have a nice progression pic over the last week) and it was quite faint! Not nearly as dark as a few days ago! Same time of day, same brand, FMU. I'm only about 4 wks along as well.

Has this happened to anyone else? I'm freaking out here! I did have my blood test yesterday, but haven't heard any results yet. Oh please please please let this one be okay......

I would call your doctor for the blood test results as they are MUCH more telling! I got my blood work results back 3 hours after they had drawn blood. They should have yours back by now.. Did you call them? Keep us posted!!

They're supposed to call me this morning. Here a separate lab processes them then sends the results over usually within a day.

Boy, I KNEW I shouldn't have taken that test!

it happens. when i took my test i ve got also faint even after one week of my missed period. so dont worry abt it. i m pretty sure that u r pregnant. u can see the doctor if u want.

But was yours faint after a bunch of dark ones? Actually, I wouldn't say faint, just light.

Haha, thanks, I just did! The nurse said my doctor was going to call me to talk to me though, that she didn't know what it was about....oh no! Now I'm nervous!

I had that experience but it didn't turn out great.  When the pregnancy test got lighter, I found out I had a chemical pregnancy.  I would go for the blood test test, then you will know for sure.

Well doc called and said my HCG is very low which means I'm either very early, or I'm losing this one too. ****. This is exactly why I hold off on getting excited. I really really don't wanna go through this again....

I'm so sorry, try not to get down on youself too hard!!  It happened this quick...what's stopping you from another??!!  I know, easier said than done, but I hope you pull through this alright.  Remember, you have all these wonderful ladies to help you with anything you need!

I know, everyone here is really wonderful! Especially since I haven't told anyone except my sister, so I can't even talk about it! And DH doesn't know enough about pregnancy (this is my 1st with him) so it's hard to even discuss it with him. Last time he thought it must have been something I did.

They're testing again on Monday...I'm trying to convince myself maybe I'm just early. Really, AF wasn't even due till about today, I just tested early. The only thing I find odd is how they were fairly dark, then light....

FYI.  My levels one day after AF was due were 180.  Which was low but it did put me at 2-3 weeks past conception which was correct.  Then a week later it went to in the 3,000's.  So it is possible that you are just testing early.  Because if you went yesterday, then techinically that's a day before AF was due and the numbers may not have increased as much.  I would just wait until you take the next blood test and get those results and not home test because you don't want to worry yourself.  I had a m/c in December 2007 and when I found out I was pregnant again I was having cramping and really worrying, because I had 3 weeks of cramping before m/c'ing.  I wasn't completely ok until I got my second hcg test back, then it took being able to see the baby until I was really ok.  I still get concerned - it will never go away.  I know its easier said than done, but I would just make sure you try and relax - because stressing isn't good for your body.  It is possible to have dud tests also.  Good luck and keep us updated.

Wow, that's really good to hear! I know, stress is terrible......

That is the one thing keeping me positive, that AF would have been due today. If that test this morning was as dark as the others, I wouldn't even be worried with the low bloodtest. Just because it's early, but still there.

Grandmatobe - They didn't tell me my levels, but I have to pick up paperwork there today, so I'm going to ask. All the doctor said was they were as if I was a week along. A week past conception I'm assuming? But that's odd, as I've had a BFP since last Friday.

We'll see, I'm just going to get the number and go from there to compare it with other peoples. Thanks for everyone's advice, I'll probably be posting my level in an hour or 2!!

Well I found out my HCG level. 15!!!! I was hoping for higher than that! She said it indicates the 1st week of pregnancy. Is that even possible if I've had a BFP for a week now??? There's not much point in holding onto hope here now, is there? :(

Oh yes, they want to take blood again on Monday. I'm just not getting hopes up, as most people I know around this timing are waaaaaaaay higher!

hello!  My doctor said it does not matter how high or low as long as it doubles the next time they take blood.  Levels for women vary.. Mine were pretty low for someone who takes clomid.  I only got a 100 when I was 13DPO well lower than my cylce buddies.  I got worried but a week after it became 2418 wich is wonderful and yesterday I found out that I have "A wonderful bean" via ultrasound at 6 weeks 4days I was not sure if I have to be happy though because I did not see a heartbeat but the radiologist said everything looks fine... I do hope and pray that he is right.  I won't be hearing from my docrtor until tomorrow or monday... :(  Anyway just keep praying for those numbers to go up... hugs to you and I hpe you feel better.  Just warning you that the days will be dragging you until you get your next bloodtest and get the results  but try to relax as they say because ...The little Beans are sensitive to stress.... crossing my fingers for you... sticky baby dust

That's great that your numbers went up so high! I would have been way less worried if I was even close to 100, but 15 is just so low considering 5 is negative. I'm just so surprised that a FRER would still give me a pink line, but a blood test only says 15? I thought FRER didn't even pick it up until 25?

I'm so confused. I know the days are going to drag until Monday....

Don't stress i found out i was pregnant @ 2weeks and my levels were low,i wasnt even going to the doctor bcuz i thought i was pregnant i thought i had the flu!!!!  I was only 1 day late for my cycle,my levels were low but as time progressed they did rise!!!!! Don't get so stressed so early on, i know what it's like to have a m/c!!! Good Luck sweetie
