Your luteal phase is the time between when you ovulate and when you start AF. An "average" womanWomen's way should have a luteal phase of 14 days. If you are charting your temps, or using an OPK...you may have a good idea of when you O. If your luteal phase is less than 10 days, it can be difficult/impossible to conceive because your body is not allowing enough time for the embryoCea to implant in your uterus before signaling the start of your period.
I am still learning about it myself...Hope that helps!
I also want to add that one way to help you determine when you ovulate, if you're regularRegular insulin, is to deduct 14 from your cycle length. So if your cycle lasts 30 days you should ovulate around CD16, give or take a couple days.
And another thing to note is that your period does not determine when you ovulate. Your ovulation determines your next period--- thus the luteal phase! You will always have a period, unless pregnant, within 12-16 days of ovulating. Hope that helps!
it does help only problem is i have no signs or symptoms when i ovulate thats why its so hard for me to get pregnant. My daughter is 15 and my son is 1. That wasnt done on purpose i just have no signs when im ovulate. It's just a hit or miss with me. I guess thats why i cant tell my luteal phase. But thank u so much for ur help
either yur not focusing on them or u just dnt hve them. If u want to strt learning now is a good idea. Like taking your temp checking yur cervical mucus yur cervical position& texture monitoring if u have pains to left or right ovaries during ovulation and one other thng that helps is use the ovulation kits. Do that 4 a couple of months and u shud b able to detect changes n yur body. Like I can tel by my cm, pain to ovaries and the day b4 I ovulate I am supper horney. Like today if I was 2 take an opk it wud probably show a lhLh blood test Lh urine test (home test) surge and my cm is pickn up. U can always google to get more info how to take charge of yur fertility
