in the last year. I tested positive for compund heterozygous MTHFR. My homocysteine levels came back normal. Could MTHFR still be causing me to lose my babies even if the homocysteine is normal? I have started taking 1mg of folic
I to tested normal for homocysteine and still continue to have misscarriages. My little sister did the same thing and she has a happy and very healthy 3 year old. I guess it just depends on the person. But I was told to take 2.5 mg of Folic
acid and 1 mg of b-12 and 50 mg of b-6, 1 pernatal a day, plus the baby asprin. So I guess it just depneds on your doctor. This is all stuff my sister did and she got pregnant with my nephew 3 months after starting this regiment. I just started so I do not know what it is going to do for me. Good luck and lots of baby dust to you.
in the last 8 months. I also am on a baby aspirin and 4 mg per day of folic acid plus a prenatal vitamin. I do have a 3-1/2 year old son. I do think the MTHFR is a factor, however, it was something I had when I conceived my son, but did not know it. So I don't think it is impossible to have a successful pregnancy. But the miscarriages are devastating.
If you are having a problem with blood clots dont eat green veggies, I know that sounds crazy but there is a vitamin in it that causes you blood to be thick...(my nanny was on blood thinners and a strict diet)
