I wanted to share this with everyone who is pregnant or trying to conceive. When I firstFirst progesterone mc10 First progesterone mc5 First-progesterone vgs 100 First-progesterone vgs 200 First-progesterone vgs 25 First-progesterone vgs 400 First-progesterone vgs 50 First-testosterone First-testosterone mc got pregnant, I thought I would save money by shopping Ebay for gently worn maternity clothes. After all, I have other expeses associated with my princess, like insurance, diapers etc. After buying about 4 really nice, gently used tops off Ebay costing me anywhere from $15-$20 ea. shipping not included I discovered something. Motherhood.com has some really great deals online. I can get a new blouse, in some cases for less that what I paid for the used. If you haven't thought about where to buy your maternity clothes at, I suggest you check it. They even have top and bottom sets for $20. The shipping is only $5.....You can't beat that.....I just thought I'd pass this info onto my fellow Mommy's to be!
Baby dust to all TTC!
Motherhood is great! I went there last month and bought a bunch of stuff...they have some really good deals! I was even able to find some nice tops at sears that were on clearance...too bad they don't have a big selection though. Target is pretty good too!
I never thought about Baby Depot. I'll have to check that out this weekend. I've looked at Target, but they don't really have Plus Size so much. I have a LARGE top. I wear a 40 G in bra. I told my husband I'm carrying our baby in my boobs....lol. I've already had to go up 2 bra sizes. But I know Motherhood has both regularRegular insulin and Plus size. I'll have to check Sears out though and see if they have plus size...Me and the hubby are going to the mall this weekend.
when i was pregnant in june i went to Sears and they had some great maternity clothes on a serious sale...alot of the stuff was brand "two hearts"...i got everything around $11-$15 dollars. Then I had a friend give me a TON of maternity clothes...I can't wait to wear them. :(
rachie that brand "two hearts" is what I got. I am actually wearing one of the shirts right now. =) Really nice stuff! Aww...you will get to wear them soon enough!! Don't give up girl. Hang in there. Still praying for ya! <3
Loismwallace....lol about carrying your baby in your boobs! you crack me up. I haven't bought any bras yet. But I did have to give up my nice push-up bras...then again...I think my boobs are staying up just fine on their own now! =) I think I will wait until I get closer to my due date and then buy some nursing bras. Don't want to get them now and then have them not fit in April. I'm sure I'll only get bigger!
While I realize this isn't for some people....I get most of my maternity clothes from thrift stores. The prices can't be beat and with maternity clothes you can usually find some REALLY good stuff. Especially if you shop thrift stores that are closer to the wealthier parts of town where people by stuff for a pregnancy and then donate it. That way the stuff is still in REALLY good condition. I can get shirts and pants for under 3 dollars each that way. With 3 kids and 1 on the way I need to save every penny I can.
A couple of weeks ago, I went to Walmart.com they have a bunch of nice maternity tops for $6 bucks each! I bought 6 and a pair of pants. They are very stylish and comfortable.
