Maybe off the topic, but need help with 2yr and biteing

Ok so as some of you know I have a little 2yr grl.  She'll be 3 in November but anywho lol.  She has a really bad habbit of biteing other kids when she gets really upset.  I've done tried to do everything possible to make her stop biteing but nothing seems to work.  I've done tapped her mouth, sat her in the corner sitting and standing, taken away her toys, I've even tried to talk to her very nicely and calmly to see why she did it.  But she still continues to do it.  My sister tells me to put alittle hot sauce in her mouth but I said oh no I don't think so I'm not going to do something that bad.  But I'm half tempted to put a little dab in there just to see if she would stop because I'm really getting tired of haveing to worry about what child shes going to bite next.  She is a mother of three boys, so I"m pretty sure that it wouldn't hurt her but it just seems kinda cruel.  But I don't think that it would affect her too much because she likes hot and spicey foods.  Does anyone have and suggestions or stories as to how they got their child to stop doing this?  Thankx for your guys help

As horrible as this sounds, I knew of someone that had such a bad issue with their children biting that she just bit them back.  It seemed to stop the behavior, once the saw how much it hurts.

I don't know if I could have ever done that to my kids, but I thought it was an interesting tactic (as long as you don't have to do it more than once).

bite 'em back...just not to hard.I know you lady's are at aww for this but it's one hundred percent the only way your gonna stick it to them.My mom did it,my auntie,me(I pinched),my friends mom...and every time asked did they stop....they always say never bit anyone again!Just like hair pulling....or scratching...my baby has done them so I already got it out of the way....unless she's frustrated.Babies get frustrated and throw tamper tantrums cuz they don't know how to let out anger yet...if that the cause of it I would say try calming the child down by soothing him. Then try giving him a sippie and prop him on the sofa with blankets and pillows.Put a movie in and sit with him and he might dose off.

Thankx much for your replies!  I know the hot sauce thing does sound kinda bad but when you try everything you're pretty much at your witts end you're willing to try anything else.  Actually with the biteing back thing....her dad has tried to do that to her too.  I just didn't mention anything about that because it sounds bad.  I haven't done it because I'd feel bad.  She used to pull hair too as well really bad, but she very seldomely does it.  It's the biteing that occurs most.  Her trantrums aren't too bad, but she has them.  I don't know hopefully I'll get other replies as well as a method that they used as well.  Something has to work, right? lol She can have her little violent rages but they're not horrible.  I try to spend as much time as I can with her.  Before the new baby came I could spend all my time with her.  Now that the new baby is here there is very little.  I try to feed the baby and do odds and end things around the house and have her help me so that way I can get what I have to get done and also be spending that time with her.  But I think that shes catching on to it now and knows whats going on lol.  Her biteing has happened before the baby came so it's not the jeliousy thing.  I'm now realizeing how hard it is to have two kids around the same age.  She has rebelled alot more though since I came home.  I just don't know how to split the time that's need and stop makeing her so hateful and mean.  Sorry if I'm going on and on.
