Ok ladies, I'm hoping one of you out there has had a VBAC and been a military wife, more specifically US military. I'm wanting a VBAC, and now I'm starting to think of all the what if's for when I do get pregnant if DH gets deployed...we're in S Korea now and they allow VBACs here...if DH was deployed I'd move back home and if/when I delivered while he was deployed I'd be around a lot of hospitals, one specifically that's got a women's and children's section...I really want a VBAC. I do NOT want another c-section...I know I worry too much, I'm not even pregnant yet, and it's 5 months til we're back in the states, but I want to know possible options, and be prepared...I'm a very plan-it-out person, I don't like surprises.
time for her VBAC was almost non-existent, and her husband shipped out when the baby was a month old. She was fully recovered after a day or two. if you're set on VBAC my cousin's experience (military health care but not a military hospital) was very good.
I'm not associated with the military, but I think the main thing you need to look for, military or not, is a doctor that is willing to do a VBAC as not all doctors will. When you do get pregnant, make sure you ask that question when looking for an OB.
