Missed Birth Control Pills, took Antibiotics and now no period!

I missed a couple of birth control pills while traveling. When I remembered I took them but the next day my period started five days early. I contacted my dr and she said my period started early because I missed the pills and to take a pregnancy test and if it's negative continue with my bc pills. The test was negative so I continued taking my pills. A week later I got really sick and had to take a couple of antibiotics. My husband and I had sex during this time and usually use the pull-out method. My period was scheduled to come a week and half ago but it didn't. Could I be pregnant?

There is a chance, you could of gotten pregnant during the time you missed the pills or when you were on antibiotics. Whilst taking antibiotics whilst on the pill can stop the pill from working. Take a test if negative and your period doesn't start see your dr

yes there is a chance u should not miss pills and should take extra precaution if u are on antibiotics. Go for a pregnancy test and hope for the best if it is negative, as your cycle may have re-set because of the irregular intake of pills.

I took a pregnancy test yesterday evening and it was negative. the last time i had unprotected sex was dec. 31. i wondering could it have been too soon to take the test or maybe I'm just not pregnant.

you should take the test in the morning with first morning wee, it gives the best results as the hcg level is more concentrated then

If you got pregnant from the Dec 31st incident then it is too soon to be testing. You want to wait at least two weeks from the last time you had sex to get a more accurate test, 3 if you can stand to wait. Antibiotics are known for making birth control void so you should always use back up and back up does not include the pull out method since that isnt reliable. I missed a few pills a couple of years ago, I now have a two year old daughter :)
