So my son is 6 months and I just got on the pill 2 months ago (so this is my 2nd cycle). Last cycle I missed a pill and was over 3hrs late taking some of the rest (crazy schedule with a baby, lol) so my period came early but I didn't realize at the time that it was my period, I just thought it was break through bleeding. Anyway, after the bleeding stopped (5 days) I wasn't sure if I should start a new pack or wait for the next Sunday when I would've originally started the new pack (sorry if confusing). To sum it up I went about 4 days with no birth control until I started the new pack on Sunday, only problem is I forgot to run to the Pharmacy to pick it up so didn't take it til Monday night (and late at that). Did good for rest of week until Saturday I missed because out w/family and pills at home (stupid, I know).
So I was about 4 days late starting and missed 2 pills in 1st active week. I've had sex
symptoms such as bad breakout and major heartburn maybe 4 or 5 days ago. Your experience or advice/opinion would be appreciated as to possibility of pregnancy, etc.
P.S. Please NO HARSH COMMENTS, I'm usually good at taking the pill but things are hectic with a teething
I understand I have an 8 month old baby (my only child) and the same things happen to me I will miss one or take one late here and there because it gets so hectic. I used to take them for 11 years before my son and never missed one, now I seem to mess up on them all the time. I know the more you mess up on the pill the less effective they are and of course the more of a chance you have of becoming pregnant while taking them... so instead of them being 99.9% effective that percentage goes down to like 80% and so on (I don't know the exact numbers I am sure the pill pack has an insert of somesort). Good you are using a back up now....I don't mean to scare you, but I think you will probably just have to wait and see. It is so hard to tell because PMS
Anytime you miss pills theres a chance of pregnancy. I would take a test, if it's negative wait a week and test again. The pill should not effect the result of the test.
hey the chances are pretty high sure your ment to use a back up for 3 month wen starting your pill til it gets control of things the only thing u can really do is wait an hope if your taking the pill u can still have a period as its a forced one not a natural flow so give it a week or so an do a tes tif u have symptons gud luck!
