Hi Ladies, Whew Its been a while since I have been on here, Having a new one takes up my time BUT i love it!!! You ladies have helped me through my whole pregnancy and wanted your guys advice or opinion! Kinda a weird question.... I have a Movement sensor Moniter in Noah's Crib and I have done alot of research on it and really cant find the answers I am looking for and was wondering if you ladies know much about them... I have read the book back and forth and it never tells me a specific answer..... The jist (sp??) of it is that the alarm will sound of baby stops breathing.... I wanted to know if the alarm really means the baby has actually stopped breathing or maybe there breathing gets below a certain breaths
per minute or so.... I ask bc the alarm has actaully gone OFF (which scares the ever loving **** out of me!!) several times since birth....and I have actually jumped up and baby seems fine I will place my hand
or maybe he is just breathing odd or off beat and it pickes it up and sets off the alarm... The other week it went off and i jumped up and ran to the crib and he was wide awake...eyes open and i set my hand
on his chest and he was breathing..... i dont think the alarm is faulty it works pretty good and doesnt just go off all the time.... its gone off about 3-4 times since he was born....
I was just wondering if you ladies know any more about it than i do.... does it mean that he really stops breathing???? If so should I call the dr and let them know he might possibly have a breathing issue?? Or maybe its him wiggling and scooting around and the pad under the mattress doesnt pick up his breathing that well?? I really dont know what it could be but my heart stops every time the alarm goes off...... any suggestions ladies?
i had one with my last baby and am gonna use it with this one. my one sounds an alarm if there are no breathing movements for 20 seconds. now, that can happen and everything be fine, but it is also letting you know early if things might not be fine. it's my favourite thing i have for babies.
