Mucus Plug/ Bloody Show

My last doctors appointment was on Tuesday 3/29, and my doctor told me I was dilated to a two and thinned 80%, well Wednesday night I lost my mucus plug (or so I think I did). It was this giant brown blob. Thursday all day my discharge was brown, and it continued to Friday. I called my doctor to make sure everything was ok and the nurse told me to go into the labor and delivery and get it checked out. I went in and the nurse had trouble finding my cervix so she told me I was dilated to a one. I was having contractions every four minutes, but they sent me home anyway.Today is Saturday and I woke up with blood streaked discharge (bright red blood). I'm not sure whether I should call the doctor AGAIN and make sure this is totally normal. I'm figuring it's just the "Bloody Show" but I'm not sure. What could it be?

Its most likely the bloody show. Before it sounds like you were bleeding from maybe them checking you since brown blood is old blood. Red blood is fresh. When I had my bloody show I gave birth within 24 hours.

After my bloody show I had my kids within 24 hours also...all 3

Bloody show is a great sign! Means you're in the early stage of labor. You do not need to go to the hospital right away with bloody show. It could still be hours or even a few more days (most women have their baby within 24 hours but some may take a few days). Wait until you're having some serious contractions before heading in.

Yay!! I sure hope she comes soon! I am 38 weeks pregnant and right now I am having menstrual like cramps that shoot pain into my lower back. They're pretty painful and are about 7 minutes apart and last about 45 seconds! I'm hoping this is the real deal and not another fake out! Keep your fingers crossed for me!!!
