is a sporatic behaviour, and one you shouldn't expect on a daily basis. While they might be frequent in your baby, it's completely normal they might not have them everyday. It's not a behaviour they can control on their own, just as we cannot control them.
are a result of an immature digestive system, and can continue after birth frequently until the system catches up..so it could be that your baby's digestive system is maturing more so the hiccups are simply going to occur less frequently.
my baby got hiccups 3 times a day pretty much everyday. i remember sometime at like 39 weeks i started to worry because i realised she wasnt getting them as much and maybe not even once in a day. they came back so there was nothing to worry about. i would worry when she got them too much, then when she didnt get them. shes fine and still gets them :)
Mine was getting hiccups once I would be lying down for bed at night. There was one week where it was just about every night! But yes it's sporadic and it doesn't happen like that all the time.. It's so weird when he gets them! Especially when they're further into the pelvis! Mine gets frustrated at them too I think!
All I know is my son got the hiccups constantly when I was pregnant, sometimes several times a day. He also had them almost every time he ate after he was born. To this day, at 9 weeks, he still has them almost every time he eats.
