The last 3 or 4 days, my hair has felt very rough and almost stringy-like. It is usually very soft and shiny.... but not anymore! Do you think this is due to being pregnant? I am approximately 5.5 weeks pregnant....
they say that after 90 days of being pregnant your hair and skin will change. usually your hair gets thicker cause it stops releasing the dead strands. but it can do the opposite and it certainly can make your hair stringy. could be the dry air outside too though. : ) i noticed my skin is drying and more see through than normalNormal saline flush. everyone is different but pregnancy can change your entire body.
yes pregnancy can affect you hair. it could be shiney of you have dry hair before and it could be rough and dry ( as mine) if you have silky hair before.as your pregnancy growes your hair can change again.
Pregnancy WILL effect your hair BUT hair grows at a rate of about 0.5" a month so any impact being pregnant has had on your hair will only have effected your roots (not the rest of the hair that has already grown and is dead). BTW: be prepared to lose lots of hair a few months after giving birth - this is a pretty commonCommon cold phenomena!
omg...after giving birth i thought i was losing all my hair..........huge handfuls would come out when i brushed/washed it......luckily my hair is so thick (takes 24 hours to air dry) that it wasn't noticeable! LOL!!!! but you know the saying.......boys give beauty, girls take it away.......my hair was beautiful and then after i gave birth all that changed...LOL
Your hair does go through changes when you are pregnant and post-natal. In pregnancy, almost 50% of womenWomen's way experience changes (spanning dryness, hair growth) and post-natal many womenWomen's way experience rapidRapid shallow breathing hair loss (due to excess growth in pregnancy). Try a pregnancy hair specific hair care line. Nine Naturals has great pregnancy shampoo www.ninenaturals.com, I think Whole Foods has a few other good brands.
Oh well, perhaps I'll try another shampoo to see if that helps any!!!
