Need Advice!!!!!!

Ok so last month my period was late (usually due around the 11th) I got in Dec 29th carried on into the first week of Jan. Now during my period we have a slip up or 2. but anyways,
My body has been feeling really strange not sure if its nerves or what I took a hpt on Sat morning, it was negative, still don't have my period......Can you get a negative if you are infact pregnant??? Did I take the test too soon considering I was late the month before?? Im just really confused and can use any advice right now.
I have been getting extremely bad headaches for the past week or so, my breasts starting hurting really bad end of last week, and they are swollen, slight clear whitish discharge when I pee

Ok your period as 29th Dec so you wuld of ovulated around 14 days from the first day of your period which is 12th Jan so habe you have unproctected sex in that time?

I did the 28th and again at the end of my period

Ok you had a period on 29th would roughly ovulate on 12th Jan, pregnancy symptons are very similar to period symptons so its hard to say, the white discharge whats it like as this is a sign of ovulation.

You will ovulate 12-16 days BEFORE your next period. Not everyone ovulates 14 days after the first day of your period. Let me give you a little info. You may already know some of it, but bear with me.

The first day of your cycle is the first day your period begins. So period begins and that is CD1 (Cycle Day 1). Second day of period is CD2, and so on and so forth. Women with 28 day cycles will ovulate on or around CD14. But if your periods are shorter, then you could ovulate during your period.

For example, if you have a week long period and you ovulate on CD6, you have to have sex during your period to become pregnant. The egg only lives for about 24 hours so waiting until after ovulation to get pregnant is very unlikely.

If your cycles are longer, then you will obviously ovulate later. You don't base ovulation on your period, you base your next period by when you ovulated. That is a lot more difficult to determine, but if you are regular, and you know how long your cycles are, just count back 12-16 days and have sex within those dates (if you're trying to get preggo).

If you are irregular, you can check CM (cervical mucous) for ovulation. When your body prepares for ovulation you'll have CM in all sorts of textures, white/cloudy. But when it becomes CLEAR like raw egg whites and stretches to an inch or more (it'll be very slippery, even watery), you are FERTILE.

Thank you! Yea im not to sure whats going on, I mean now I know how to tell if im ovulating, but I couldn't tell you last month when this all happend. Im pretty much just waiting to see if I get my period. Like I said I had sex once the day before my period and 1 or times before it ended but close to the end. This is all confusing to me lol
