Need help-Implantation Bleeding

by RockyVT08, Oct 06, 2008 06:03PM
I was wondering how long after conception you can have implantation bleeding? I had ovulation tests come back positive the 21st,22nd, and the morning of the 23rd (but not that afternoon). I am now experiencing like a sticky discharge with a bit of color to it. It started this morning and I don't know if it is AF just giving me a warning or if I could have implantation bleeding this many dpo. I'm thinking if it happened on the 23rd I would be 13dpo, which is possible because I have heard it take 12 days sometimes but it is also about time for my monthly. I'm all confused. Trying not to get too excited...

i've never had implantation bleeding, but you could just wait it out till the day after AF is expected

by RockyVT08, Oct 06, 2008 06:09PM
I just dont know when to expect that either. I used to be very irregular and even though I seem to ovulate by the calendar now, it is hard to base it from last month because I had a chemical pregnancy and the times before that I was highly stressed and skipping periods.

Does anyone else have any advise on this?

by sweetangel7, Oct 07, 2008 05:24PM
I didn't have it with either of my pregnancies but I guess only 1/3 of women do have it...from what I have read it can occur 6-12 days past ovulation.  However, after a chemical pregnancy/miscarriage etc. your cycle can change so it could be something funky with your cycle too.  IF you are 12dpo you could try to take an early results test...I tested positive faintly at 10 dpo and strongly at 11dpo...Good luck!

I tested and got a BFN. Since then the discharge and bleeding stopped. I haven't experienced any cramps either, just a twinge down there every once in a while. I can't imagine the testing was too early but at the same time...where is my period? Why cant our bodies just tell us, I know it knows. lol

maybe you need a blood test done.  with my daughter i went 7 months of negative hpt, and my pants wouldn't button anymore and had a blood test done, I was 7 months pregnant LOL

by RockyVT08, Oct 07, 2008 06:15PM
oh jeez. I am a sub teacher so if I have tomorrow off I might just go in and get the blood test. I hate sitting around wondering. Whether it is good or bad I want to know.

by sweetangel7, Oct 07, 2008 06:19PM
The waiting is torture...at least being a sub you can say no if you want and go get the test!

I was looking into this today actually because of my above post (minus the milk) and it said that you could have some bleeding just about the time of AF.  Something about the bleeding can last 7 days, but you could possibly only bleed on days 1-3-5- and 7 or just on day 7 so some people get confused thinking it is AF.  Good Luck!!

According to my chart I should've started my period yesterday, which was when the spots started. I don't want to get too graphic, but it isn't or even pink. It's sticky with alot of CM and light brown here and there. I went all of today with no spots until a couple minutes ago when I saw a little again. What's even weirder is that I have had no cramps. My stomach is upset occasionally, but none of the strong cramps I usually have. Not that I am really complaining, its not like I miss them.

by RockyVT08, Oct 07, 2008 10:52PM
Correction--- it isn't red or even pink.

by RockyVT08, Oct 08, 2008 02:19PM
Discharge but it is completely clear today. No more spotting and no period. BFN on hpt this morning. I am now 2 days late. I have an appointment for tomorrow morning at 8am.

alright guys -- I am 9 dpo today -- yesterday my temps were 98.13 today they went to 97.70 and I am spotting very little very light pink.  Could this all be implantation?  Gosh I hope so -- cause then I am gonna think that my luteal phase is all messed up.

by RockyVT08, Oct 08, 2008 02:35PM
I dont know much about bbt, I dont usually chart mine, but the type and the timing of the bleeding sounds like it could be implantation.

gosh I hope so -- my and dh have been trying for 3 years -- 2 miscarriages on in 2005 and one in feb this year -- I hope and pray that is what it is and not AF coming 9 dpo.

by RockyVT08, Oct 08, 2008 02:52PM
That would be pretty early. Thats what I was afraid of too. I saw my spotting on the day I was expecting my period. I never had the pink though, just a very light brown for a day and now 2 days of nothing. I think you have a good chance for it to be implantation.

by kramik107, Oct 08, 2008 03:08PM
I hope so -- have you taken an HPT yet?

by RockyVT08, Oct 08, 2008 03:16PM
The last one I took was this morning. I took an ovulation and a hpt actually, since sometimes the ovulation ones can come up posituve too. The opk had a faint line and the hpt had nothing. So two negatives. I'm think if it was implantation bleeding then it has only been a couple days, so I may not have enough hcg in my system yet.

by kramik107, Oct 08, 2008 03:36PM
Yes it prob is too early right now if it was implantation.  I have everything crossed for you I hope both of us will see a BFP this month

by RockyVT08, Oct 08, 2008 03:39PM
Super sticky baby dust to us!!!!!

My hubby and I are trying too... I also had discharge that was coloured the weekend. My menses is due on Sunday. I hope it doesnt' come. Its to early to tell whether or not there are any signs for me though.  What I want to know is, does anyone have bloated tummy's like when your menses suppose to come?

by LoandTansMom24, Oct 09, 2008 11:03AM
Hi guys. Hope this helps...I am currently in my 5th preg. I have never had implantation bleeding w/ any of my pregnancies except for this one. And it may jus be that I was watching for AF like a hawk b/c we were tryin. lol Anyway, I got a + on the OPK on March 13. So, hubby and I bd. Then, 8 days later, I noticed sum very, very light pink discharge. Well, I knew AF wasn't due for another week, so I got on the web and googled everything I could about IB. I remember reading most IB occurs about a week b4 your expected AF. So, that night (w/o telling dh) I took a test and got a very, very faint BFP. Waited and took another one the next mornin...same thing!! Took one that afternoon...and the line was already getting darker. But I know that everyone's body is different. I am now 32 weeks w/ our lil girl!! (We've got 2 boys!) So, Good Luck ladies!! I wish u all the best!

I went to the doctor and they took blood but I am not supposed to hear from them until Monday : /  I took another hpt when I got home but it is still negative. It is only 3 days from possible IB, so I will test again. I have been bloated like CRAZY! I look and feel like I gained 20 lbs but at the doc I found out I actually lost 6. I'm so bloated the muscles in my stomach actually hurt.
