Im 27 weeks preggo my 2nd pregency. I seen my doc today and he said the babys breach and if she doesnt flip in a month then i will have to have a c section. He said she should already be head
first, and shes small 2.5 lbs. Does anyone knw a way that will help my baby flip. Im only 19 and i dont want to have a c section im scared and i want more kids later on. I also have excurchiating back pain is there anything to help with that? I knw to take it easy but its hard with a 17 month old running around. Please help me :)
your doctor should be talking to you about ways to get baby to turn and maybe even manually turning her, if even needed, when you are full term. Some doctors and midwives do deliver breech babies. It is hard to find them but they can be found. If your doctor is so quick to jump to cesarean
I would be finding a new physician and ASAP. Actually that is exactly what I did my last pregnancy. My doctor kept throwing the word induction and cesarean
options. Having delivered once before you may already know what you did and did not like during your previous delivery. I recommend watching The Business of Being Born (can watch online for free at letmewatchthis, Netflix Instant Stream on XBOX or whatever you may have and other websites). I cannot recommend this video highly enough to women about to have a baby. It is SO important to know our options.
Go watch it and let me know what you think (privately message me because I may not always catch an updated forum post). I'm happy to help you think through your options, help you write a birth plan, etc.
***forgot to mention that my natural, vaginal birth after I switched to the midwives I was NOT induced. My water broke at home at 40 weeks 3 days. Induction increases your chances of a cesarean exponentially.
oh hunny ur little one has more then enough time to turn on it's own. My 2nd daughter would flip from transverse (laying across my hips) to footling breech to head down & back to transverse right up until she finally went head down & 38 weeks. You have the right to refuse a c section. PLEASE DO NOT LET URSELF BE BULLIED INTO IT. Dr's tend to push for it & 9 times out of 10 it's more about their wallet then the baby. It costs SO much more to have a c-section, the after care & 3-5 days in hospital then to have a vaginal birth & be out in 24 hours. Definitely check out babycentre online & if you want feel free to msg me & I can try to help more as I don't always get the updates & don't always have the chance to check the posts.
I wouldn't worry I'm 31 weeks tomorow n my little one is turning Round everyday head up then headdown think it's a bit drastic to say a c section my midwife never mentioned that when it was breech at my last appointment
Unless your baby is head down at 36+ weeks I wouldn't really worry since before then they are still tiny enough to go any which way. Only 3-4% of all babies are still breech by 38 weeks. Also you can do an external version if she does stay breech instead of a c-section. I had a version done at 38 weeks my first pregnancy because my daughter was breech (but at 36 weeks she was head down so she was still flipping around because she was small enough and got stuck) it didn't even hurt and I have a super low pain tolerence. Plus I ended up giving birth within 3 days of it!
